Most uninventive title of the day award goes tooooo.....

Probably not me actually but this one is a bit lame. This will be a brief ramble regarding a walk, some flags, and a bit of @steemmonsters.

When I took the above photo this afternoon, I didn't plan for a big red flag to take center stage, but that's how it's worked out. The lobster brigade are arriving en mass and need to be told that there are rocks without shipped-in sand covering them. I'm not really sure a flag is required for this, they could always walk to the water with and use their eyes?

Here are some more red flags, is this how discord might look in the future as varied parties team up to 'flag-a-whale', 'flag-a-dickhead', 'flag-everything'?

If cheaper flags are implemented, it will be interesting to see how the non-posting accounts are tackled as they continue auto-flagging users who have done them wrong. They will be able to flag harder, and there is no place to 'fight' back, unless known acquaintances are targeted. Great.

The lobster brigade also need to told what to wear when the sun is out. Today is a 'you might want sunglasses, a hat, and a drink', but no need for the t-shirt or the umbrella.

Anyway, I walked a good way today, up a hill, and down 'all' the way to sea. 10 km, pretty good - if only it wasn't a quarterly occurrence.

And this is the view from the top of the hill, taken with an iPhone 5s (and so you can just about make out land and sea).

I'm getting my ass kicked on @steemmonsters. It's not helping that I am facing opposition that have way better cards than me - I want some Dark Energy Crystals and the match-ups are not helping!

It's getting tougher out there

Has anyone else noticed that they are facing much tougher opposition more often since the DEC update?

I'm knackered today, and fell asleep earlier before even starting this post. Forgive me :)

    I think the change in the matchmaking happened before DEC was released.

    If cheaper flags are implemented

    Why would they do that? People are getting flagged randomly for nothing. Soon, there will be no one left

    My, my. That is one ugly sign. The people that are so dumb as to need it probably wouldn't be able to work it out anyway. You're putting me right off a visit to Mallorca. 😂

    I've seen a few people write about being flagged recently but I didn't realise it was on the rise again. 😢

    I'm not sure what's going on with Steem Monsters anymore. Most of my games seem to be matched against higher summoners or bots so it's a pretty frustrating experience. DEC has just made it more so. With people showing off their cards.

    It's going to take me a week with my level 2 account to get to 2500 DEC if I play everyday (as far as I can tell) so I can buy an orb. Some people I know already have maxed cards from them.

    So, while it sounds like a good idea for the little guy, in that they can earn something other than reward cards, it seems to be that it just increases the gap between those at the top and those in the lower leagues.

    Imagine starting out now with a just the initial pack. You'd never get out of bronze.

    I was fortunate to have been in at the beginning of play when you could win stuff for free and, apart from the odd legendary, we were all playing with a similar set of cards.

    Now I'm short the legendary summoners and all the new ones from the Orbs and then they'll be the ones from the Tron thing.

    I'm still plodding on for now but not sure how long I will continue to play as the gap gets ever larger.

    It's quite clever really because if you want to continue to improve you have no choice but to buy cards. Which I suppose makes sense. Maybe that's how the gaming world works and I've just been spoiled by the early days. 😁

    P.S. I am enjoying seeing the DEC rise. It's less frustrating that trying to win a DQ.

    I have nothing to say about flagging or monsters, but that is a pretty fancy sign you have there. I have to do the old fashioned run through in my head on the way to the beach. What month is it? Ah, May. And sunny? Yes, I will be fried like a piece of meat.

    I like that word "knackered." I want to add it to my vocabulary. You just might see me use it sometime, but it will be really ridiculous coming from an American. I'm a little excited about it ;)

    today i had 3-4 fights with opponents with 2lvl stronger cards so i just gave up. yesterday it was more or less regular. but my quest reward was well really shitty 😀 so i thought potion people got all the good cards 😀

    It would be nice if they do implement the downvote pool, that to use it you need to state in a comment why the down vote. That way people could see and agree or downvote back for abuse of the downvote pool.

    At least it looks like a moderately nice day there, here it feels like it is going to rain again, the sun keeps hiding, and picture taking sucks with all the overcast weather conditions.

    Looking forward to see if and how the flags work and if they will have an impact. The problem I have is the chops who don't post will flag. There are one or two that flag randomly and need a good slapping.

    I wonder if flagging an article that trends because of bidbots is a good thing for Steemit. Many of the people who use bidbots actually buy Steem to buy their votes, couldn't that have a bad effect on Steem prices? You know if these people decide to stop buying Steem for bidbot votes?

    Well I think the flag was required un some ways because some people would have eyes but they would not actually see. All they need is a symbol to direct them.

    I'm wondering if a $2.00 downvote would affect the author in the trending page? ie if there is a $200 payout mainly upvoted by bidbots will it hurt a little to them or just me? not really sure how much people make out of it. i also asume that the $2.00 is taken across the board both authors and curators? last question is a there a best time to downvote if after 15 minutes etc
