Who or what am I (not)? (True Self) I am not the body. I am not the thoughts. I am not the brain. I am not the mind.
Who am i? (the persona or the little i) i am a Solipsist Mystic. The little i, i think is more like a dream character in this dream of life. Writing now as this dream character (who now calls himself Atma):
i am an English guy who's been living abroad for 14 years, now settling down in Bulgaria. Since just before leaving England, having stumbled across some "spiritual" ideas which blew my mind and led me to choose to put my faith in the above concepts, and do my best to live as if it is truth.
Before that, i lived a "normal" life, working, saving, wife and children. I started a trucking business with two partners, quitting my job eight years later, moved to Turkey and sold my shares in the business about a year later.
Continuing the story but keeping it short, here are some highlights:
i began to learn to meditate, immersed myself in spiritual teachings, books and movies while in Turkey for 18 months, took a trip to Thailand to learn about yoga and do a teacher training. Moved on to Mexico, bought an RV, met a Huichol Shamana, got arrested in the desert for harvesting Peyote, lived at a yoga school for a couple of years, fasted for 41 days in the jungle in Yucatan, began researching holistic healing when a friend was diagnosed with cancer, opened a healing retreat centre in Mexico which i ran for 5 years, volunteered at a yoga school in France for 5 months, moved to India and stayed at an ashram for 10 months. And much more in-between. A journey of healing, emotional integration and so much more.
i seem to be a "big thinker', with "world changing" ideas flowing through me, and a "connector of people". About 8 years ago i registered the domain a-plan-for-peace (no longer online) as ideas came to me which included a network of small circles of 12 people, family / friends / like minded people who made plans, came to decisions, elected a representative to join with 11 other representatives from 11 other circles, and so on upwards until all of humanity were able to communicate with each other through elected reps (and directly), to make local and worldwide decisions, to share resources - and much more. I found myself unable to solidify the ideas or present them to others in a way that could be understood.
Not long after that i came across Larry K Mason's Nopom system which blew me away. Last week i revisted this and found Perry Gruber's Copiosis system which has been birthed from Nopom. I won't share links here as this is supposed to be my introduction post, but will do later in other posts. Please follow me @atma.love to find out more.
About 2 weeks ago, i felt inspired to revisit these ideas so began researching for a platform that could host such a system. Just over a week ago i found Steemit (now rebranded as Hive) and then a post by a guy named John (@matrix-8) describing a similar system (and so much more) and his plans to build it on Steem (now on Hive). My heart lept with joy.
Over the last week i have been reading all of John's website in which he describes eloquently and in great detail all the ins and outs of the Matrix-8 platform. I've also read probably fifty or more posts from other amazing people writing some exceptional articles (for example @sorin.cristescu, @edicted, @acidyo, @pstaiano and many more) following them (and many more), made a few comments and resteemed (re-Hived) many of these exceptional posts (check out my feed https://peakd.com/@atma.love/feed to read). It feels like i've come home! (feeling emotional now as i type :-).
I've run out of RC many times (SP (now HP) delegation invited). Fortunately i've finally found a way to buy some Crypto (neither of my banks would let me - one ever threatening to close my account if i tried again) so soon i should have plenty of Steem Power (now Hive Power) so i can post more :-) and continue with my research and learning and connecting with fellow would be peace-realisers and we'll see what comes out of the melting pot.
I look forward to connecting with more and more of my new family here in Hive and doing my best to help the network and the members to thrive.
