Working on my own Hive Game finally 🎶💃😍

How are you?

I didn´t have alot of time for Hive this year. But I am still trying to post about what I am doing. We still have some gigs, this year I have 2 more and then the season ends. I love having gigs and playing the drums, but I am also happy that I have some more free time during the winter. I will use it for cosy evenings with my girlfriend, playing some Nintendo or so. 😄

Apart from Gigs, I have alot of work. Graphics design for customers, work for our label Panda Beats. I started making Short Videos for YouTube to see if this helps to get more listeners and followers. image.png

I will test this for a few weeks and see if it changes anything.

A question: If I post a short on 3Speak, does that appear also here on PeakD like a normal post? Or is this shown somewhere else?

If anyone knows, I would be thankful for an answer. 😊

Well what I am working on in between, if I have a little time, is on my own Hive game.

You guys know I always wanted to have my own game. I have so many ideas, but I never had a dev and I cannot really code myself, only basic HTML, so at some point I was frustrated because I didn´t know how to develop my own ideas. Because I can´t just hire a dev for thousands of Euros. So I was just stuck, and buried the idea of my own game a few years ago.

Now I started bringing one of my own game ideas to life. 😍

I have a payed account with ChatGPT for a while for my work, so at some point I just thought: Let´s see how good it works, if I give a game idea into the AI. And actually I was very suprised how good it works. Of course it needs alot of tweaking and finetuning. But I am so excited, a whole new world opened up for me, I am able to work on my own ideas now. 💃

The first idea I have since a few years is an own music game (of course 😂). So I started with this one. 🎶

I want a game where players can produce music for artists and release them, earn money with the released music and so on. What I also love is isometric rooms. So I definitely wanted one in my game. And I LOVE trading cards haha. I love collecting, so of course there will be cards in the game. 😄

I started two weeks ago only, so I am not very far. But I wanted to show you some screenshots, of the unfinished room and the card templates (not sure if they will stay like this).

You start with a very basic room, but the room can be decorated and you can buy better equipment, etc. You can also find new skins, so you can customize the game more that it looks like you want it to look.

These screenshots are very unfinished. Just for you to get an idea how it currently looks.

Small stuff is already animated. Like the figure, or the monitor. It´s awesome! I didn´t know this was possible. 😃

Every thing in the game is a 3D model, so you could really rotate it, see it from the front and the back. It´s cool!

I also have lot´s of different card types. These are just a prototype and unfinished. Not sure if they will stay like this. And the words are partly in english, and partly in germn still, I need to correct that. Icons are missing on the top left, etc.

I started creating a Logo for the game, and also a similar look for the game menu. Of course it will be dark and gold. 😄

I cannot really decide on which Logo to use. I would like to have your input. What Logo do you like best?

Well, I don´t know if I will ever get this game done, but it´s alot of fun to create this world.

It´s great that I can be so creative, and just do whatever I imagine. It´s awesome!

I still have no idea how to connect Hive to it, how to upload it on a server, etc. but well. I hope when it´s done, I can find out how to do it with AI or so.

    The two-week build with your paid ChatGPT account is such an honest dev diary — most people hide the AI assist, not show it. The isometric room with animated monitors already has so much character. Have you settled on how the Hive integration would work, like tokens for the trading cards?

    The room reminds me of early pc games of the 1980s retro gaming is very popular.

    Top left for the icon as that is where most people look initially online...at least in the west.

    And regarding the first look at the game, I really like it! So great to see people who don't know how to code finally having a chance to express themselves in a different environment... ;) More ideas are always good!

    I can totally relate to this! AI has added a whole new dimension to what I can create. It's like suddenly having two extra sets of hands to help turn all those ideas rattling around in my head into something real. 😂 And of course, once you figure out what's possible, the ideas just keep coming! Have fun bringing your game to life!

    You can look for developers on Fiverr; the prices are a bit better. Making a game with AI will require a lot of patches to run well and not have empty outputs or bugs that could ruin your game for those who enjoy abusing game mechanics. And most importantly, figure out how the game will be financed, how it will have resources to cover expenses, and if you say the players will earn, then how will you handle those costs. Good luck with your concerts!

    So it appears as as post too. Sometimes I also edit from peakd later for better formatting.

    Ecency allows direct video upload while 3speak backend is used. U can explore it soo as it might have a better preview but I personally haven't used it yet.

    Hey @ravenmus1c, it's always good to see you posting in HIVE! I've notice your absence here on Hive, so every time one pops up it's very encouraging, and I love how creative you keep being with everything you do.

    I really like what you said about AI, because tools like that help us fill the gaps in areas where we lack the skills, and it's wonderful that it finally lets you bring your own ideas to life. Your music game sounds really exciting, and the room and the cards already look great. I wish you all the best with it, keep going and please keep us posted!

    "Logo bottom left" is my first pick, for a general purpose logo. BUT, "logo bottom right" might be best if this game is attached to the Hive blockchain, as it incorporates the hexagon shape. If it's not part of Hive, though, "logo bottom left" is definitely my choice! I like the "raven head" design better than the one with wings, and the bottom two logos better show the "music" aspect of the project than the first logo with the raven head. That's the logic behind my choice! 🙂

    Good luck with the game-making! It's a fun thing to dabble in, and making the frontend Ui/html is almost too easy! I'd suggest having a 'real' dev look it over before you make anything 'live'. AI is a great tool, but a real dev might spot any flaws in the backend/security side. Especially when connecting to Hive! (AI makes the setup/connecting with Keychain easy too.)

    Looking forward to seeing more buzz around your game soon! I know it will be awesome if Raven is behind it!
