With common sense we will triumph over this

The spread of the coronavirus around the world is a concern of course and for those with health issues or on in age it is a big concern, and I feel everyone needs to step up and take it seriously and take common-sense steps to stop the spread, I have to admit I am glad I am practicing social distancing, as if someone ever meet me inthe street and said I am not worried I am young and healthy so for me it won't be any worse than the mild flu, so I am going to be out and about and hang out in crowds and not worry about it, I would be so tempted to slap them, think about others you may spread it to!!

Sorry I didn't mean to rant again with this morning's post, but I made the mistake of reading some social media threads, and the selfishness of some drives me nuts. But as the title implies I do believe this is not the end of the world, Armageddon or anything like that and with time and controls being put in place it will pass, but I dread to imagine what the total count will be before this is contained.

Now Speaking of Triumphing over it here are some shots of a Triumph Speedmaster Motorcycle I saw recently at Gulg Beach here in Milford CT

The whole world is slowly waking up to the devastation this virus can cause but just like you, I believe that we can triumph! Read this beautiful poem by Fr Richard Hendrick, thought you would appreciate it:

Ah! I hope that they make them better nowadays, as my old Bonneville used to leak oil all over the place JJ. Regarding the Covid thing, the saying over here is that we are all soldiers and we have to fight against the virus by staying clean and avoiding crowds. Everyone has a role to play. Blessings!

But I have to admit that bike does look nice. And your words are true, but as I have noticed with our youth here they are thinking a bit different now.

That's a pretty nice looking bike. I am glad that I live where I do for now. We have been taking the precaution of avoidance as much as possible, trying only to go out once a week on early Sunday afternoon. Out grocery store was still pretty well stock, with a few exceptions, like flour, rice, and some dried beans missing, plenty of water, TP limited to one 12 pack per customer. But there was a lot of real food, nuts, fruits, veggies, fresh and frozen. The meat department was still well stocked, but the price of meat was quite a bit higher than last week. But all in all no significant panic buying. It is nice to live in a little island of normalcy during all this abnormal behavior.

That's such a cool bike🙌. Fantastic distraction from that dreaded virus. I agree 💯 that if everyone does their part with distancing and required hygienic precautions; we could contain it ASAP. Wishing you an awesome Monday ahead 🎉👍😁

Well I have news for the young ones the biggest group of sick people are young people. Teenagers do well and even healthy marathon runners are in hospital and need extra air since weeks.

Elderly people have a higher risk to die but I got the feeling they get less care too.

How about let the big mouths drop dead, leave them without air instead of filling a hospital bed for weeks with them now 70+ will no longer taken to hospital?
