I have been saving this red rose for Valentine's Day. I had hoped I would get it posted on Valentine's Day but it will probably turn out to be a day late. I hope everyone had a great Valentine's Day. I got home Wednesday afternoon from my short vacation. I needed the 3 nights away, but now it is a scramble to catch up on things.

RAINBOW TOKEN
This week I want to share with you information on a newer "token", which is part of a new curation project. They announced the Rainbow "token" a few weeks ago and have now begun curating. You can buy the RAINBOW Tokens on Steem-engine.com or delegate Steem Power. You will be paid weekly in Steem. The most recent payment shows a 34.78% annual rate of return. I delegated Steem Power and bought some 'tokens', and have received payments the last two weeks. In one of their publications they indicated "Rainbow is an investment 'token" that will be used for curating content through manual and automatic strategies. 90% of the curation rewards will be distributed every week in form of STEEM among the 'token' holders." One Rainbow 'Token' is equal to one Steem. You can invest small amounts in this 'token' and still get paid weekly. You will also be supporting a new Curation Project.

To work off of the Valentine theme I have chosen more red flowers that I will mix in with some other photographs. This next one I believe is a begonia.

I found this ornamental plant to be wonderful, and I think it goes well with the red flowers.

This next one is a rose that died back to the root stock after two winters. Everything above the graft died. The root stock is very vigorous. These roses look very much like the wild roses we have growing in the area. The wild ones are pink. We are letting the root stock grow because it is very hardy for our winters.

Last year my wife bought me my first Orchid. I was able to keep it growing and as you can see it bloomed in time for Valentine's Day. I have a second Orchid but it will be awhile before it blooms. In time I hope to obtain more of these beautiful flowers.

As Saturday was approaching word was out bout TRON bringing Steem/Steemit under its umbrella. I have read some on this issue, but so much is unknown. This is not unlike going through a hard-fork with many opinions pros and cons. We have survived these hard-forks, and I believe we will get through this "merger". I am continuing to read what I can on TRON and learn as much as I can. This may in fact strengthen the platform, and even bring in many new users. I am taking a wait and see approach and try to keep an open mind. Right now it has strengthen the price of Steem and has even impacted the price of TRON. I do own some TRON as an investment, but have never deeply studied it. I will try and increase my knowledge of this blockchain in the coming days.

I am using a Canon EOS Rebel T5 for most photographs, except where noted. I do have an older PowerShot Canon camera that I use from time to time. I have been using my phone camera for photos of plants in the plant room at times. Wildlife is usually taken by a stationary trail camera that takes photos based on motion.
