My app "Clear outside" had already told me the day before that there would not be many clouds for a beautiful sunrise, but after I definitely wanted to go to the Lake Bohinj, I was hoping that the app would be wrong. | Dass es nicht viele Wolken für einen wunderschönen Sonnenaufgang geben würde, das hatte mir meine App "Clear outside" bereits am Vortag gesagt, aber nachdem ich in jedem Fall zum Wocheiner See fahren wollte, hoffte ich natürlich darauf, dass sich die App irrt. |
When I arrived at the lake at 6 a.m., it looked at first as if the app had actually been wrong, because the sky was full of cumulus clouds (I believe this cloud shape is called Altocumulus), which were moving from northwest over the lake. However, just while the sun rose higher behind the horizon and these clouds have caught some morning color, unfortunately they moved to the right out of sight pretty quickly and also they faded. | Als ich um 6 Uhr früh am See angekommen bin, hat es zuerst ganz danach ausgeschaut, als ob sich die App tatsächlich geirrt hätte, denn der Himmel war voll von Cumuluswolken (ich glaube man nennt diese Wolkenform Altocumulus), welche von Nordwest über den See gezogen sind. So wie die Sonne jedoch hinter dem Horizont höher gestiegen ist und diese Wolken Farbe gefangen haben, sind sie leider ziemlich schnell nach rechts außer Sicht weitergezogen und auch verblasst. |

Pokljuka Gorge

The Pokljuka Gorge is a so-called "dry gorge" and I would not really recommend it in winter because really everything is dry. In spring, when the plants grow again and everything is green, I will certainly hike through this gorge again. Now in winter it presents itself rather bleak and especially the first few hundred meters are more like a bad forest road. | Die Pokljuka Schlucht ist eine sogenannte "trockene Schlucht" und ich würde sie im Winter nicht wirklich empfehlen, weil wirklich alles trocken ist. Im Frühjahr, wenn die Pflanzen wieder wachsen und alles grün ist, werde ich aber sicherlich nochmals durch diese Schlucht wandern. Jetzt im Winter präsentiert sie sich eher trostlos und speziell die ersten paar hundert Meter gleichen eher einem schlechten Forstweg. |
The about 2 km long gorge is the largest fossil gorge in Slovenia and was created by the fact that a stream has withdrawn into the depths after the end of the last ice age. | Die etwa 2 Kilometer lange Schlucht ist die größte Fossil Schlucht in Slowenien und dadurch entstanden, dass sich ein Strom nach dem Ende der letzten Eiszeit in die Tiefe zurückgezogen hat. |

Burned-down Radovna

Between Krnica near Bled and Mojstrana in the north is the Radovna Valley, a cultural heritage with some interesting sights and the last remains of the ruins of the burned-down village of Radovna. | Zwischen Krnica in der Nähe von Bled und Mojstrana im Norden liegt das Kulturerbe Radovna Tal mit einigen interessanten Sehenswürdigkeiten und auch den letzten Resten der Ruinen des verbrannten Dorfes Radovna. |
During the Second World War, the residents of Radovna supported the resistance movement against the German occupying powers, also with a courier route leading to Carinthia from the village of Radovna. On September 20, 1944, the German occupiers burned the village, which is evidenced by the rest of a burned farm as a memorial. | Während des zweiten Weltkrieges unterstützten die Bewohner von Radovna die Widerstandsbewegung gegen die deutsche Besatzungsmacht, wobei vom Dorf Radovna aus auch ein Kurierweg nach Kärnten führte.
