I know folks are waiting on Hive-Engine. We're working on it as fast as we can. Back end is up and running. We're working on getting the front end up, which will take a few more servers. Still a chance for march. Might be May, and if shit goes south it may be June.
Anyway, for those looking to trade steem/Hive as a pair ionomy and blocktrades work. So does Steem-Engine. (Steem has been fairly unstable since the Hive hardfork so you may have to refresh a couple of times to login to Steem-Engine).
It also looks like a decent deal on Hive to me. As the pair on Bittrex (which is still not accepting deposits/withdrawals) is 2546 Sats/Steem and 4600 Sats/Hive. Which is a ratio of about 1.8 Steem / Hive.
Ionomy which is accepting deposits and withdrawals is showing 2334 sats/steem and 4240 sats/Hive which is 1.82 Steem/Hive.
There's just shy of 20k Hive under 1.8 Steem/Hive. So, if you think that's a good chance to pick some up then there's a market for it. If you're looking to catch some lower bids the steem side could use some buyers as people are using Steem-Engine to dump hive. So, consider placing some offers to buy Hive over there.
Instructions
To deposit steem just use the deposit button on steem-engine.
To deposit Hive send Hive on the Hive blockchain to @steem-tokens and use the memo HIVEP username. If I wanted to send some to myself I would send Hive to @steem-tokens using hive keychain and write the memo HIVEP aggroed.
To withdraw Hive back to hive just click withdraw.
To withdraw Steemp back to Steem just click withdraw.
There is a 1% fee on deposits or withdrawals, but that can be made up by fishing for low buys and high sells.
So far it's a good start
Seems like a good day of trading there, so please keep steem-engine in mind as you're looking to convert between steem and hive.
