Hello Steem! It's about time I introduced myself

A short introduction of.. Me

My name is John and I'm from Denmark. I've lived in Denmark my entire life but I'd like to experience working in a different country some day. In 2016 I graduated with a bachelor's degree in teaching and have since been working as a teacher, first at a public school and since at a private school. The topics I teach are Danish, history and art.

Other than being a teacher, I'd label myself as a filmophile, a blockchain enthusiast (which is how I discovered Steemit) and a hobby photographer. Emphasis being on hobby, - I don't have any fancy equipment or photo-editing knowledge.

If you look at how long I've had my account, you will see that I've managed to procrastinate doing this for quite some time. This seems to be a theme, as it's been a while since I decided to work on my writing skills, and only recently actually sat down to do so.

Being a teacher is a job that frequently pulls the carpet away from beneath your feet. Let's just say that this has resulted in numerous gut-punching, hilarious - and not so hilarious - existential crisis-inducing experiences. There's always something to be learned from any experience though, right? I try to keep that in mind.

I look forward to sharing my experiences and the lessons I've learned with you.

    It's a big ol' crazy ocean out here, but keep swimming around and sharing posts! You'll get the hang of it. Honestly, the hardest part is just coming back and making it a habit.

    And yes, there's always something to learn from experiences, especially hilarious ones. 🤣

    Eight suggestions to consider:

    1. Guard your passwords carefully, and only publish with the posting key, 2. Use your active key only for wallet transactions, keychain and steemconnect, 2. The master password is only used to reset compromised passwords, 3. DO NOT lose your passwords; copy and store offline, 4. Do not publish other people's work, be it photos or written, without credit, and be sure to source all of your work, even if it is your own. 5. An introduceyourself tag is used only once , and 6. When you open your steemit.com, in the upper right corner of the page there are 3 bars. Click on those, and then on the "welcome", and you will get a lot of reading material that will help you. 7. Do NOT open any links in memos or comments that you do not know who they belong to. If it sounds too good to be true it probably is, so the old saying goes. There is nothing free here.
