Happy Saturday dear Steemians!!!
Last night after having some free time, I was going to work on this portrait but I fell asleep, in the morning today, after resting and taking care of some trades, I started what would be my entry for the contest - Art Explosion - of @juliakponsford, for this occasion it was OPEN THEME... hopefully my work is on time and I can enter the contest.
Yesterday I thought about many things but in the end I decided to do some fantasy, it is a portrait of a forest creature and no, it is not evil “I think” I know it looks half malicious but it is very sweet… you can find out by letting it into your home, just call him at 2AM and leave the doors open LOL. ;)

The sketch of this friend is like very few, the truth is that I am always used to making my sketches with lines to then proceed to paint, this is different because there are no lines here... beyond just the way in which the position. I got a little distracted doing it so I don't have many steps, in the video it will look better as I did it. --- I was making brush strokes only with values, since initially I wanted it monochromatic, but that later changed only a little lol.
Here I had all my character painted so I decided to change the colors with some layers of "superimpose", also some adjustments of "curves" and "levels". I wanted it in a more overnight environment so I added a cold light.
FINAL RESULT
For the end I did not want to leave it alone, I felt that something was missing, I placed some branches on his body and some other details. XD
