Among all the zombie movies and series I watch, this is the standout when it comes to the combination of comedy and tough situations. I remember one I watched a while ago; the combination didn't match at all, and everything looked like a total comedy show, which didn't fit the movie's survival flow.
I watched till episode 6 of this series, and I already gave it a 10/10 rating because everything just matched perfectly well.
Do you want to talk about the comedy that flows easily, the emotion, or the gore of the series? The series is top-notch.💯
Honestly, I was enjoying the first episode of the series with a very realistic love story that I even forgot to ask myself if the zombie outbreak is ever going to happen or not.

Young Joo and Jae-yoon are two lovers who promise each other marriage, but everything takes a new turn when Jae-yoon goes for army training; before he graduates, years must have gone by, and it will only keep Young Joo waiting for nothing. The whole thing gets escalated when communication between the two becomes shaky since Jae-yoon and his platoon members are not allowed to use their phones. It becomes very difficult to communicate; their relationship is fading away, and before you know it, the zombie outbreak happens, and it all becomes a survival run for everybody. The survival run is epic, full of action and an emotional rollercoaster. The platoon, on top of the skyscraper, ran out of supplies, and they needed to come down from block 78 to the floor where every block is filled with the dead.
The zombies' characteristics:
The zombies in this series adopted the famous style but with a big difference. When one gets bitten, one can go on for a long time without turning into a zombie if only the person keeps soaking the body system with alcohol. Two people experienced this; one gave up when the body could no longer accept the magic to work, and he turned into a zombie when he knew his time was up. Aaron Park, who found the trick earlier, was taking in alcohol from time to time to keep him human. Meanwhile, he was already untouchable by zombies. He walks in the midst of them, and he doesn't get eaten. This was a big advantage to the team's journey to the ground.
The gore: Honestly speaking, I didn't expect the level of gore in this series since it's more like a comedy series. The chopping off of human heads, plucking off of human eyes and swinging, and the tearing of human flesh, with intestines being feasted on by the zombies are top-notch. A big applause to the edit crew.
The characters: The character selection is perfect! Everyone fits in their roles very well.
If you don't like comedy, you may find the comic scenes awkward, but I love COMEDY things, and I feel every part of the comedy scenes is perfectly done, and no push was done.
Thanks for reading.
