Richard was very small when his father died. His father was actually wealthy. His mother decided to write a will confirming that everything would be taken away from Richard for the time being. Richard's mother allowed herself to go through difficulties just to see that her child would become a good person. Even at that, Richard didn't actually leave his habits. Richard went around sneaking around with ladies.
The part I found so funny in this movie was when his uncle traveled. Richard would go around acting as if he was wealthy. He would take his uncle's clothes and wear them, acting as if he owned the house where he stayed. But he was actually just a gateman and also a houseboy.
Richard would bring all sorts of ladies into the house, and there was one certain time when his uncle caught him. Richard was so disturbed. One thing I liked about this movie was that whatever Richard did, his uncle always wished that he would change. His uncle couldn't chase him away because he was hoping that one day things would become better.
While Richard was busy sneaking around, he met a lady, Eneka. This was when he claimed that he was very wealthy, deceiving her by telling her that he had billions of naira. She also deceived him by claiming that she was wealthy as well.
The funny thing was that they were both deceiving themselves. they even their names to Richie Pablo and Valerie Pinky, they both pretend to be wealthy and successful while hiding the truth about their real lives. Eventually, their lies collide when they fall in love.
After that, he got her pregnant and ran away. I felt so sorry for her because she was all alone and feeling lonely. Richard had deceived her and run away, so she had to pass through difficulties herself.
But coincidentally, they found themselves in the same place. She actually came to look for a job in the house where Richard was staying. When she saw him, she was shocked, and she couldn't talk to him. She was very angry.
This was the funniest part of the movie. She never listened to him because of what he had made her pass through. In the house, they always quarrelling. She was the cook, and he was the gateman. They fight all the time.
When his uncle noticed that Richard was responsible for the pregnancy, he just hoped that it would humble him. And actually, the pregnancy was what humbled Richard.
As time went on, Richard began to understand that what he had done was wrong, and he apologized to her. He then began to show concern for her and started treating her well.
Each time they went about doing things, his uncle observed him to see how he was acting. His uncle discovered that Richard was acting maturely this time around. This was exactly what Richard's mother wanted.
She had also told the uncle to wait until Richard was mature enough and could handle all the documents he had, because Richard's father was actually wealthy. His mother didn't want him to ruin everything.
The strategy that his mother used was so amazing. What I loved the most about the movie was that Richard actually became a good person and a good father to his family. This was what his mother had been hoping for.
When his uncle finally handed the will and the documents to him, Richard was amazed and shocked at the same time. It made me think about everything his mother had gone through just to make him a better person.
