Thinking about their future is good and it is better to do so, but thinking so far ahead is not right. We cannot predict what the future will hold because the world is such that a catastrophe can strike in an instant, so we should live in the present. If you have something to donate and someone is asking for help and is in need, you should definitely help them. Don't worry about what your future will be if you donate this.
The second thing is that if you're donating, don't do it for popularity or social influence. If you want to record it, there's nothing wrong with that. But the most important thing is to use the recording to convey a positive message. If you're doing something for popularity, then there's no benefit to it, because your own selfish motives are hidden behind it.
