Littering is one major act that is literally part of us as humans and we exhibit almost every hour of the day as long as our mouth is not stopped from receiving from the hand unless we individually practice discipline.
The discipline of some is mainly because they hate dirt around them and with the knowledge that a drop ends up turning an ocean because these whole dirty environments start with the smallest nylon of a chocolate or sweets taken from one person and the another and then another till the whole place turns messy while some only got disciplined because there is a law that is to bring them to book if caught.
I remember sometime ago while traveling and I was in transit, a private car before the bus I was in whined down and the next thing I saw was a hand throwing the banana peels on the road and I wonder if there was no thoughts around it before it was done because even aside littering, that could possibly cause an accident on the highway but I think these acts have reduced drastically with the measures the government put in place to prosecute any offender caught in the act and like we all know that no reasonable human wouldn't fear being punished on what could have been avoided.
However, is this the same on the part of the companies either in the residential places or non-resident environments? Many companies cohabit the habit of disposing of their waste anyhow with no consideration of the harmful effects it may have on people around them. The bitter part of this experience is that most of their waste are stuffs that smells and pollutes the air which is a dangerous way of affecting not just the residents alone but numerous people who inhaled this affected air or the ones they dispose in the sea that ends up linking back to people. While they are busy making money to the growth of their own companies, residents and citizens are busy spending money to get good health spoiled by what they inhaled from the poisoned air or from poisoned water.
If there are laws binding an individual from not littering around, then companies should be held responsible for theirs as well of which I'm sure these laws affect them too but there are not just diligent agencies who are supposed to enforce this law on them. They had probably been bribed out of their ways just to allow these companies do whatever they liked and how they deem fit so they chose to ignore and face harmless individuals as targets instead.
I wouldn't say this is the government's fault because people have been appointed and well paid to do the job and on another note, I wouldn't say it's not the government because they should monitor what those they assigned to do the job are actually doing.
Above all, I would say the major solution to this is that we as residents or passerbys should not hold in or resist to speak up when we see the acts by these companies. Calling them out with pictorial evidences to the right authorities will not only put a stop to their bad acts which causes harm to citizens but will make the affected agencies sit upright to do the needful of which at the end is a win for us because a life with no good health is such a great loss which should not be a cause at the purpose of someone's aim of profit and success.
