Hello again, lovely people. It’s been a while since I last wrote here, and I’m finally pushing myself to do it again. Work has kept me unusually busy over the past eight months, which also meant fewer photo walks and less material to share. Hopefully that changes now as I honestly do miss creating and sharing content.
A few days ago I spent an afternoon in the city center, and I was lucky enough to catch a strange weather phenomenon. The sky turned a fiery orange, as if the sunlight had dissolved into the clouds themselves. It created a striking contrast between the dark, moody sky and the soft, glowing light breaking through it.
In the first set of photos, you can see the Parliament building, beautifully lit against deep, shifting clouds. Moving through the Bezistan passage toward Terazije, the light suddenly opens up - direct, sharp afternoon sun spilling across the streets and bus stops. Shooting through the bus windows toward the sun created interesting layers of reflection, shadows, and silhouettes of people in motion.
From there I walked down Knez Mihailova, now bathed in warm orange light reflected off the pavement and buildings. By the time I reached Kalemegdan Fortress, the sunset had deepened into shades of red and purple. Sahat Kula, the octagonal clock tower rising above the gate, stood out the most, like a silent witness of this beautiful day.
I wandered around looking for interesting angles before heading back the same way, capturing small moments as the city was slowly covered by night. I hope you enjoy the photos.
