To start off, my sincere apologies for the delay in posting this winner announcement as I have been caught up with several offline events recently, but I am so excited to finally highlight these wonderful submissions and award our participants. Thank you all so much for your patience.
It was fun seeing Pinky & Spiky into the woods for Contest #3: Mushroom Foraging. We had four fantastic entries showing everything from crypto minting in the forest to unexpected snack discoveries. I love how every single submission brought so much creativity, humor, and effort, everyone is a winner in this round I must say. We are splitting the prize pool equally so each participant receives 1.5 HIVE.
Here are our featured creations:
@khiabels (1.5 HIVE) Pinky tried to warn Spiky about dangerous wild mushrooms using his trusty field guide, but Spiky couldn't resist taking a bite. Fortunately the mushroom didn't cause crazy hallucinations as it just tasted like Nacho Cheese Doritos. Love that. Excellent 3-panel pacing, dramatic facial expressions, and spot on character dynamics.
@tinster (1.5 HIVE) When Pinky & Spiky forage in the woods, even rare mushrooms turn into Web3 assets. Finding a rare blue mushroom immediately leads Spiky to suggest to mint it. Such a funny scene continuing the nft duck narrative. Beautiful art, clean line work, great smartphone detail on the mossy rock, and awesome foraging outfits.
@shookt (1.5 HIVE) When mushroom foraging gets a little quiet, leave it to Spiky to try anything to deal with his boredom even eating random toadstools. Spiky's deadpan delivery ("I just ate one to see if it will make it less boring. It didn't.") was hilarious. Great character outfits and clean design
@organduo (1.5 HIVE) A super cute and colorful scene. Spiky loves hunting for mushrooms, Pinky worries about them being poisonous, and a tiny friend like Dietrich chimes in to remind them that those red toadstools belong to the forest critters. Beautiful, bright hand-drawn style.
Thank you to everyone who participated, supported, upvoted, and kept this community going. Your ongoing support and creative art mean everything to the Pinky & Spiky comic series. Prizes (1.5 HIVE each) would be sent out after this post. Stay tuned for our next theme announcement very soon
