Greetings to all coffee lovers... welcome to my blog.
Last week I had to come early to the neighboring city to resolve some issues with the bank I frequently use, as they held money when I made a card payment. This meant I had to wait a few hours for them to open, since the power went out early and they were closed.
While that was happening, I took care of some other errands and went to have breakfast at a local café I really like, Café Nathalia. This place has two areas: one inside, which isn't air-conditioned, and another outside, outdoors. But what makes this place different from the others is that, because it's located across from Plaza Bolívar, the city government granted them permission to place tables there.
I've always considered this plaza to be the city's green lung, since the number of trees planted in a single space is impressive. Considering that this is the largest Bolivar Square in Venezuela, and that among trees, flowerbeds, shrubs and grass, it brings together a valuable plant ecosystem in the middle of an urban area, it is the preferred oxygenation site.
The second area of Café Nathalia is located beneath this green roof. The breeze is wonderful, the shade is immense, and it's like having a picnic in the middle of nature.
These days have been very hot, with little rain, and although the air-conditioned spaces are best suited for the afternoon hours when the heat is most intense, in the mornings, when this mild weather is just beginning to settle, enjoying the delightful morning atmosphere, still offered by the gentle, cool breeze of nature, is my best option for enjoying a good coffee and breakfast.
I ordered a mini pizza, which they make very well, and an espresso. I lingered for a while savoring my drink while feeling the breeze gently caressing my face, and I felt like staying there for hours.
I watched people lying on the grass, children playing, and many others sitting and chatting on the benches. The atmosphere, for the start of a hot day, is the healthiest one could choose.

Saludos a todos los amantes del café... bienvenidos a mi blog.
La semana pasada me ví en la necesidad de venir temprano a la ciudad vecina para resolver algunos problemas con la entidad bancaria que uso con frecuencia, ya que me retuvieron un dinero al momento de efectuar un pago por tarjeta. Eso me conllevó a quedarme unas horas esperando a que abrieran ya que al cortar la energía eléctrica temprano, cerraron la entidad.
Mientras eso pasaba, hice otras diligencias pendientes y me fui a desayunar a un cafetín de la zona que me gusta mucho, Café Nathalia. Este sitio tiene dos ambientes, uno dentro del propio local que no tiene aire acondicionado, y otro afuera, al aire libre. Pero la modalidad de este lugar que lo hace diferente a los demás, es que por estar situado frente a la Plaza Bolívar, la alcaldía le cedió el derecho de ubicar mesas allí.
Yo siempre he considerado a esta plaza, como el pulmón vegetal de la ciudad, ya que la cantidad de árboles sembrados en un sólo espacio, es impresionante. Considerando que ésta es la plaza Bolivar más grande de Venezuela, y que entre árboles, jardineras, arbustos y grama, reúnen un valioso ecosistema vegetal en medio de una zona urbana, es el sitio de oxigenación por preferencia.
El segundo ambiente del Café Nathalia, se encuentra debajo de este techo vegetal, la brisa es maravillosa, la sombra es inmensa, y es como hacer un día de picnic en medio de la naturaleza.
Estos días han sido muy calurosos, con pocas lluvias, y aunque los espacios con aire acondicionado son los más adecuados para las horas de la tarde cuando el calor es más agresivo, en las mañanas, cuando apenas comienza a prepararse este clima templado, disfrutar del delicioso ambiente mañanero que aún nos ofrece la suave brisa fresca de la naturaleza, es mi mejor opción para disfrutar un buen café y un desayuno.
Pedí una mini pizza, que ellos las preparan muy ricas, y un café expresso. Me quedé un rato saboreando mi bebida mientras sentía la brisa que rebotaba suavemente en mi cara, y sentí deseos de quedarme ahí por largas horas.
Pude mirar a la gente acostarse en la grama, los niños jugando, y muchos otros sentados conversando en los bancos. El ambiente, para el inicio de un día de calor, es el más sano que se puede escoger.
