Shadow Hunters

Rain, Moscow, VDNKh

This is my application for the contest Reflection Hunters Contest - SMARP (Show Me A Reflection Picture) ~ Round 293 🎺 Announcement 🎺! by @olgavita

@olgavita, How's it going? Today, my children and I planned to go to the Moscow Zoo, but we listened to the weather forecast and decided that we didn't like this forecast either. Rain was promised. We reviewed our plans and decided to go to the aquarium located on the territory of VDNH. And, of course, the forecast came true. We just left our cars in the parking lot and it started raining. We had to walk about a kilometer or one and a half kilometers from the parking lot to the right place. And it was raining all the time. And we were walking in the rain. We were lucky that the rain was warm, but it was heavy.

Who do my guys look like? My youngest grandson is lucky - he sits in a baby carriage and is not soaked by the rain. Asphalt looks like a mirror. That's where I decided to catch the reflections.

VDNH - Exhibition Of Achievements Of the National Economy. Can I tell you her story? I don't think I'll tell it more interesting than the Internet.

When was the last time I was in this place? It was a long, long time ago. If my memory serves me right, it was around 1983. I told my son-in-law that a TU-114 plane was parked here. My son-in-law told me literally - there has always been this YAK-42 aircraft here, for about 25 years... I told him - hahaha, I'm talking about the mid-80s. I asked his father about an airplane in this place during the Soviet Era, and he confirmed my words - there was a TU plane here.

This is our goal - a Moskvarium, a large aquarium.

We liked the aquarium. But the eldest grandson Timofey was afraid of big fish. When a large sturgeon swam next to us, belly to us and opened his mouth, Timofey screamed in fear and then did not approach the aquariums with large fish. But that's another story.

Dad, why aren't you wearing a camera? That's how my daughter asked me. But in the morning I went with her to the clinic to show the ophthalmologist the grandchildren. Then we went straight to VDNKh. I just didn't take the camera with me right away.

The rain stopped by the time we reached the Moskvarium. And he was gone today. It's nice to walk after the rain, but the grandchildren are gone. The youngest grandson fell asleep, but the eldest did not let him sleep. May God grant us all patience...

How old is this tree?

It turned out to be a good day today. Tomorrow we are going to go to the Central Transport Museum. The day after tomorrow, early in the morning, I will go back home. Visiting is good, but at home it is much better.
