The Last 6 Months of My Life

image.png

It has been almost 6 months since I last posted on HIVE, and I had a lot of reasons for that. I had a bad stretch where I was quite busy in my job, and because of that, I was trying more than enough to make posts on HIVE, which was kind of curated via AI and my own thoughts. But a few months later I thought it was necessary to just take a break from HIVE and just integrate myself into my job and make progress on one point and then expand from there.

But things definitely did not take a turn for the better, as a lot of things happened in these 6 months, and one of those things was the fact that my wife suffered a broken leg and ankle. It has been 3 months since the incident happened when my wife slipped when she was coming out of the bathroom and broke her left leg and ankle at the same time.

The day that it happened was one of the worst times of my life, as I was kind of freaked out as to what was supposed to happen and what I was supposed to do. Fortunately for me, I took a few deep breaths and called my dad, who told me to first admit her to a hospital and then move on from there. This was the first time ever when I was the one making all the decisions on a medical emergency all alone, and by some way I was making all the decisions quite fast. I kid you not, I admitted my wife, talked with the insurance office and the hospital, and got all things approved, and my wife was in the operation theater within 4 hours.

After 2 hours of operating, my wife ended up with a titanium plate to her leg plus an ankle adjustment, which was going to be the main pain point of her daily life from now on. It took my wife a whole month to get used to having a metal rod inside her body, but at the same time I was also struggling, as I had to leave my wife with my parents, as I could not take care of her with my job requiring me to travel on a regular basis. So I was staying alone and was having a crisis of my own, but things indeed have taken a turn for the good, and we have decided to change houses and even the town we were staying in.

Yes, this was the house we were living in for the last 5 years, but fate had other things in mind, and now we are moving to a new town and a new house. Truth be told, I am going back to the town I started my job from, and I hope that after the switch I can find some peace and time in my daily life so that I can regularly write and post some articles here on HIVE. Plus, my wife will be staying with me from now on, and I hope that she recovers quickly with me around her as I will be taking good care of her.
