Every Sunday we have a program. Sometimes we go out to enjoy nature, sometimes we go for a picnic and sometimes we go out for walking and jogging.

This Sunday my two maternal uncles and I went out for walking. We chose the Gulistan Town route which is one of the best routes in Quetta city and has a very clean environment. This is a road where there is often a crowd of people because it is a connecting route. It is the shortest route to go towards the mountains, the dam, the cemetery, Ali Zaheer Park and Musa Family Park.

Most importantly people come here for walking and jogging. In short you can see all kinds of people here you can see different types of cultures and you can find all kinds of beauty here. That is why we also chose the Gulistan Town route.

As you can see along the way there are beautiful houses, buildings, a green and fresh road and trees planted on both corners of the road. These trees continue almost all the way to the end. Some houses here are extremely beautiful. It feels as if we have come to Switzerland.

In the evening there is also a crowd of people at Ali Zaheer Park. Some people are busy walking while others are busy enjoying their picnic. This is the beginning of our Sunday journey.

For our walking route we have to take a path of approximately two to three kilometers. We will go through Gulistan Town and stop at Sabotai Hotel. There we will have tea, take some rest to remove our tiredness and have some conversation.

When the darkness of night falls we will return towards our home.

Moonstone Gardens and Mountain Vistas

This is an area where rich people mostly live. Because rich people live here, their houses are also very beautiful and everywhere they try to grow greenery and trees.

If you look towards their houses you will see greenery, beautiful views and a very nice scene. And the best thing is that outside their houses, in front of almost every house there is also a small garden where different kinds of flowers, plants, trees, etc. are present.

I was passing through this route when I saw a beautiful small garden near one house. There were different kinds of flowers and plants placed there. And most importantly I saw a stone that was very surprising.

This stone was almost completely round in shape. Or if you looked at it from a little distance it looked like the shape of a full moon which I found very beautiful. They had placed it between the flower pots and I think they had kept it as a decoration or as a symbol that added to the beauty of the garden.

I thought I should take a picture of this beautiful and antique thing and show it to you people as well. And you people tell me, have you ever seen a round stone like this?

Apart from this I passed by the entrance of Ali Zaker Family Park where I saw a special falooda and Shiryakh stall. And further ahead there was a rice and chole chart. This is an option for people passing through here so they can eat and drink some street food from here and remove their tiredness.

And overall if you look at the beauty of this road you will see trees and beauty everywhere. And the cleanliness is something else altogether.

And most importantly right in front of you, you will see beautiful mountains which are the biggest beauty of this city. Because the weather was cloudy that day the visibility of the mountains had become a little lower.

The Pulse of Hazara Culture

Sunday evening has a different kind of enjoyment where you see colorful people. People riding around on motorcycles is a common thing and the biggest thing is that there is also a park on this road which is famous by the name Ali Zaheer Park.

There are small spaces where people play football and cricket. And most importantly this road is full of nature where you will see many trees, plants, and beautiful views.

We were also passing through this same road, and on the way we saw some people riding motorcycles. One person was riding an electric bike and I also saw a Yamaha 125 G-Grade bike which I liked very much and I also took a picture of it.

Along with this further ahead some people were playing and having fun in the park while some people were busy playing cricket in the very pleasant weather.

All of this is the beauty and liveliness of this Gulistan Town neighborhood and this is also an important scene of the culture of the Hazara people.

At the end of Gulistan Town there are some very great and famous places including Qayyum Papa Stadium which is famous for football. Not only do local football players come here to play but players from outside the city also come here for tournaments.

And right next to it there is a cricket ground where cricket is always being played. These are two grounds that have added life to this street and here you will often find a lot of rush. Some people go for practice while others go to play matches.

We were passing through here when we saw some players on the way, wearing their kits and going to play. Apart from this some local rickshaws were also moving along for transportation.

Because this is a route that connects different picnic and recreational places through this road. These include the dam, cemetery, polo ground, Paiko and other natural places. This road connects all these places and people continue travelling towards these natural places in the evening especially on Sundays.

A Shepherd's Homeward March

When I went a little further I saw a shepherd with a herd of goats on the way. They were returning towards their home with their owner.

Actually they are taken out around noon so that they can eat and feed on grass and plants. And when it becomes evening they are taken back towards their homes. It was presenting a very beautiful scene.

There were two groups of these goats. One group had gone ahead while the other group was left behind. So I got the opportunity to take pictures of the group that was behind.

A Tea Lover's Haven in Quetta

If I talk about Sabotai Hotel it is one of the best and famous tea houses in Quetta city which makes some of the most amazing and best tea. People travel from very far places just to drink the tea here.

This hotel is especially known for its tea. Another good thing is that the environment here feels very pleasant. There is greenery all around, a beautiful view of the mountains and when the weather is cloudy, it creates a completely different scene.

Actually this place is located in such a location that right in front of you, there are big mountains called Kotal Mountain and from here they provide a beautiful view.

That is why there is a crowd of people here. One reason is that the tea here is good and the other reason is that it offers a good view.

When we also reached here after walking we thought of ordering black lemon tea and enjoying the tea. Along with it we also ordered a Candi biscuit which makes the taste of the tea even better.

After about half an hour, we got the tea. We drank the tea and had a lot of conversation.

The weather was very pleasant and there were thunderstorms but it did not rain. It was creating a very pleasant and beautiful scene.
