We Chose Ziarat Park for Our Family Picnic! 🌳

It was a beautiful Saturday and our family made a plan to enjoy this beautiful weather. We decided to go towards Ziarat Park in the Cantonment area. It is considered one of the best parks in Quetta city. Its special feature is that along with rides you also get very good sitting areas.

It is a very green and beautiful area and because it comes under the Army they take very good care of it. They maintain it very well. You will not even find a single piece of garbage on the ground which is considered one of the best things about the beauty of this park.

Actually during this weekend we were very confused about which picnic point to choose and where to go for entertainment. Sometimes we were choosing DHA Quetta, sometimes we planned to go to Hanna Lake and sometimes we thought about going towards the dam.

But finally when all my family members, my sisters, nephews and nieces decided that we should go to Ziarat Park which is also a safe area and we had not visited there for quite some time, we made the plan to go to Ziarat Park.

For this I called my friend because he has a pickup vehicle in which a whole family can easily sit. It has a bigger seating capacity. So I called him and booked a Suzuki pickup from him and gave him a time of 4 o’clock in the afternoon.

Usually people go towards these picnic and entertainment places after 5 o’clock on weekends. But I chose 4 o’clock in the afternoon because I thought there would not be much crowd at that time.

I thought my children would be able to enjoy the park properly and they would get their turns on the rides quickly. With less crowd they would be able to enjoy their time much better.

That is why we left home at 4 o’clock in the afternoon and we reached the park within half an hour.

As soon as we reached the park, another good thing about this park is that there is no entry fee. As soon as you reach the park nobody asks you for money and there is no ticket system. You simply enter the park and enjoy its beautiful location.

As soon as we entered the park we could not see anyone except one or two families who just like us had also recently arrived.

My daughter, my lovely and enthusiastic little girl, Zahra whose picture you can also see, was standing in the middle of the park and was very excitedly waiting for the rides.

Apart from this there were lantern lights that turn on at night and they were looking very beautiful.

And above all my favorite ride which goes up and moves round and round is the one I like the most.

At that time we were the first family in the park and we were looking for a good place for our camping.

No Crowd, More Fun!

The biggest beauty of Ziarat Park is that along with the rides you also get beautiful greenery and natural places here.

Because it is under the Cantonment area the army has taken very good care of it. You will see beautiful greenery everywhere. The grass is well maintained and it is a very excellent place for families to sit.

In fact if I say that this park is divided into two parts, it would be correct. On one side you will see complete natural beauty and on the other side you will see rides everywhere and different things that children love.

When we went there, there was no crowd because we thought we should visit the park early. In the evening there is usually a lot of crowd so we wanted our children to enjoy the rides properly and get their turns on the different rides quickly.

As you can see in the picture when we arrived there were only one or two other families besides us who had entered the park.

When we went to the rides section there were around seven to eight excellent and popular rides. These included the Tower, the round spinning ride, the Dragon ride, the Hammer ride, the Train, the Cup ride and some small rides...

There is also a special jumping area for children where they can keep jumping and enjoy their time at the park.

Because it was afternoon and the rides had not started operating yet we first thought that we should find a good place to sit. We wanted to sit there and have our evening tea as well.

After that we immediately came towards the rides because they were located closer to us.

When Dad Becomes a Kid Again! 🎡❤️

When you go somewhere like a park or another picnic point with children you have to become a child yourself, just like them.

My daughters and my sister’s son were insisting that I should come with them on the rides, sit with them and enjoy properly with them. So even though I did not really want to I had to listen to them because when you give time to children, it is also important to listen to what they say.

So all my daughters asked me to go to the rail train which runs on the railway track on the upper side. We bought tickets there, sat on the train and waited for it to start.

This train ride is really amazing. It takes you around two big rounds and the children really enjoy it.

Apart from this there are other rides like the round spinning horses which are also very popular rides for children. I put my daughters on this ride, and they were really enjoying themselves.

Then we went a little further where there was another train but this time it was a train that runs on the ground. The children chose this ride and asked me to sit with them too.

So I asked the owner if I could also sit on the train. He said "Yes, you can sit. This ride is also for adults."

So we also enjoyed this train ride a lot. Then we went further towards Toy Wonderland where there are some small electric rides for children. The children chose those rides and I kept taking them from one ride to another.

Exploring the Park’s Fast Food Corner 🍟

One feature of this park is that they have different hotels under a separate area called the fast food point where you can get different food items.

If you go to the very corner of the park there is a special corner dedicated to the food point. People who do not bring food from home or do not bring evening tea or snacks, come here and enjoy the food from these hotels.

Because I went very early when I reached there all the food points were closed and they were busy inside preparing their food. One person was busy cutting potatoes for chips, someone was busy making popcorn,and someone else was busy preparing different types of food.

So I thought I would take a look around these food points. As I kept walking forward I saw that every department had its own separate shop. Here you can find different food shops selling juice, cold drinks, chips, fries, fast food, orange drinks and other different food items.

These shops were very beautiful and clean. Apart from this you can also see chairs placed in this area where people will come in the evening, sit here and enjoy these different foods.

Homemade Food, Evening Tea & Family Fun! ☕🍰

This park has its own many hotels and good food points where you can find every type of Pakistani cuisine. Especially in the evening there is a lot of crowd here because people who do not bring any food from home enjoy these food points.

You can find different food items here including chaat, samosa, dahi baray, pakora, biryani, cold drinks, chips and many other food items...

But because we had brought our own food, snacks and all the refreshments from home we did not need to order anything from these food points except French fries.

Actually we are very careful and usually avoid food from outside, meaning hotel food because we do not know about their hygiene, how they prepare it or what kind of ingredients they use.

That is why we usually try to bring food prepared at home. Whether we go to a park or any other picnic point we open our food there and start eating just as you can see in the pictures.

We brought special homemade Doodh Patti which is the beauty of our evening along with Tikki, Pakora, and banana cake. The only thing we ordered from the food point was French fries and we fully enjoyed this beautiful evening.

Having gatherings like this is very important for family connection. Especially my three daughters really enjoy these kinds of outings. They love going out like this, having evening tea, enjoying food, sitting on different rides and enjoying their day in the best possible way.

You can see my daughter, Itrat Zahra eating the cake. I really liked seeing her enjoying it so much so I took some pictures of her.

Similarly I took a picture of the Doodh Patti tea which I had already drunk half of, along with the beautiful nature in the background. The combination of both looked very beautiful in the picture.

Apart from this you can see the homemade banana cake which was very soft, spongy and juicy. It was one of the highlights of our evening.

The Tikki which is an important food from our culture and Pakora which is also among Pakistan’s favorite dishes were all part of our evening and we were enjoying them together.

When Night Falls, the Park Comes Alive!

As soon as it gets dark, the separate beauty of this park starts to appear where you can see that when the lights start turning on at night, it presents a very beautiful view. The good thing is that lights are installed on all of their rides and as soon as it becomes night these lights start turning on.

And you can also see their food point, how beautifully these people have decorated it with lighting. So in short, at night the view of this park completely changes and it feels like you have come to some other park. It is a very beautiful and excellent atmosphere.

Now because we had come very early, it was time for us to leave. We left this park at around 8 o’clock at night and headed towards our pickup Suzuki.

We spent approximately four to five hours in this park, enjoyed its best rides, enjoyed the park properly and took full advantage of the evening tea which is my most favorite. Then we headed towards home.

After approximately half an hour of traveling we reached home. All the children were tired and as soon as they reached home they all started going to sleep. So their mother quickly prepared food, fed them and everyone went to sleep.

We spent a wonderful and truly excellent weekend with the family which will always remain an important part of my life and these beautiful memories will always be remembered.
