Do tej pory wydawała mi się bylejaka w porównaniu na przykład do włoskiej czy francuskiej. Błąd! Wystarczyło pójść w odpowiednie miejsce, aby przekonać się, że kuchnia hiszpańska jest riquisima. Odpowiednim miejscem jest knajpa Mala Costumbre w Barcelonie, gdzie za 14,90€ można dostać menu dnia z wodą gazowaną. Moim menu dnia był pieczony bakłażan z serem i miodem oraz ryba - chyba morszczuk. Posmakowałam też dania męża i syna i powiem tak: wszystko przepyszne!

Until now, it seemed mediocre to me compared to, for example, Italian or French. Mistake! You just had to go to the right place to find out that Spanish cuisine is riquísimo. The right place is the Mala Costumbre restaurant in Barcelona, where for €14.90 you can get a menu of the day with sparkling water. My menu of the day was baked eggplant with cheese and honey, and as a second dish - fish—probably hake. I also tasted my husband's and son's dishes, and let me tell you: everything was delicious!
Dopowiem, że tego dnia od wróciliśmy kolejność i dzień rozpoczęliśmy od plażowania, potem obiad, prysznic i ruszyliśmy w miasto. Które tym razem naprawdę mnie urzekło. Zaczęśliśmy od wizyty w pięknym Parku Cytadeli.
I'll add that on that day we reversed the order and started the day with the beach, then lunch, a shower, and headed out into the city. Which really captivated me this time. We started with a visit to the beautiful Ciutadella Park.
Po zachwycajacącym parku ruszyliśmy w kierunku Catedral del Mar, czyli Bazyliki Santa Maria del Mar. Ku mojemu oczarowaniu, okazało się, e odwiedziliśmy nie tylko miejsce będące głównym bohaterem powieści Falconesa, ale również i Zafona, bo szliśmy przez piękne urokliwe wąskie uliczki dzielnicy gotyckiej, w której musiała mieścić się księgarnia Sempere.
After the breathtaking park, we headed toward the Catedral del Mar, which is the Basilica of Santa Maria del Mar. To my enchantment, it turned out we visited not only the setting that is the main protagonist of Falcones's novel, but Zafón's as well, because we walked through the beautiful, charming narrow streets of the Gothic Quarter, where the Sempere bookstore must have been located.
