Lack of ambition usually comes from lack of responsibility.
It is very easy to chill and, with respect, waste many years of your life when you have no one who depends on you. But once there are people you love, that you want to support, you will naturally start focusing on becoming the better version of yourself out of a newly found sense of self-respect.
But also because you will certainly care about being a great model for others and the people around you. You don't have to lose that respect, that reputation, around others.
