Shirt and trouser outfit made for my friend's son for Sunday service.

Hello everyone

Greetings to you all on this beautiful day in this great community, I hope you are all doing great, it was a great weekend and I believe you had a beautiful time during the weekend just as I did. It's the beginning of a new week and as we al know,i is time for us all to show case our beautiful sewing project here @needeworkmonday and I wish us all a blessed and productive week as we engage in our daily endeavors. Today, I will be sharing with you how I made a shirt and trouser for my friend's little son for Sunday service.

Making shirt has not been an easy task for me because of the challenge I have making the neck collar and collar stand, just because i have not perfected the making of it, I usually run away from i anytime I was asked to make a shirt, I would rather prefer to make a native top with placket. Recently,I summon courage to start making shirt for children with guidelines from online videos and tutorials, with consistency, I guess I'm improving.

This is the complete shirt and trouser I made after the shirt was made and shared in my previous post, now I will be making the trouser to complete the outfit.

Join me in the step by step process of making the trouser with an elastic waist band

To make th trouser, I started by cutting the front, i folded the fabric into two with the waist circumference divid by 4 pulse 2", i marked the crouch and connected it to the waistline, the full length was marked with the hem allowance, a the top, I added 2" for the elastic band casing and finally I connected the crouch to the hem and it was cut out

The front was placed on another folded fabric and I added 2" to the side although from the waist line to the hem line and it cut out

I picked one from the front and one from the back, it was taken to my sewing machine where I sew it together at the side seam

I folded the hem in and it was sewn together at the crouch to the hem, th same process was repeated on the other pieces as well

Both sides were sewn together at the crouch to make a complete trouser, I folded the waist in and sew i rond leaving an opening for the elastic band.

Finally, I cut out an elastic band of 16" a inserted it in the loop. This is the final outcome of the trouser

This is the final outcome of the top trouser i made for my friend's little son for Sunday service

Thanks so much for your time, comment, support and encouragement. Until my next post, dohave a great and productive week.

I usually had a challenge sewing collar too, I will continue trying it out until I get a hand if how it's done. Well done dear, the outfit came out really nice and the collar is standing and looking neat as well.

This looks really neat. Learnt how to sew for a few days. Almost 5 years ago and I only know how to make flare shirts. This is truly amazing.
