Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire - Hogwarts' March - Piano Cover (Synthesia)

The Hogwarts' band may not have existed until the Goblet of Fire, but the one song they played sure does beat Pomp and Circumstance. This track has a certain charm to it that brings back the magic of Hogwarts, despite the darkness of the Triwizard tournament that is happening at that same time. The happy theme juxtaposes beautifully with the maze challenge and with what happens to Cedric Diggory. It really shows the innocence of what the students should be experiencing at that time, instead of dealing with Voldemort. Sorry, "He who must not be named".

    Yes, it certainly does beat Pomp and Circumstance by a longshot. I loved this piece in the Goblet of Fire. In fact I love the entire Harry Potter series and have the entire set of books. The song itself is soft, yet it defines the tone of the entire Harry Potter series. Thanks for sharing @blackflame23.

    This truly is a happy tune! I can just imagine what you described that the track shows the innocence of what the students should be experiencing at that time instead of dealing with all the darkness! I watched Harry Potter to a certain extent until they became too dark for me. I am intrigued by the software you used, Synthesia is it? I have been wondering how that is done. I am trying to learn to play piano, the easy way and I have seen tutorials similar to yours and I think it is so cool to have that to assist with learning. Thank you for sharing this track with us!

    This is a beautiful example of how music can set the tone and influence the mood of a film. Hearing this instantly brought me back to the emotion surrounding this scene. One of my favorite examples of the significance of a well-composed score is the Pixar movie WALL-E. Music makes up the bulk of the communication with the audience throughout the first half of the movie. I used the film in my classroom to introduce my students to tone and mood. Music makes movies better 🌱
