As we enter October, we are also entering the season of autumn π Here in southern Ontario, we are fortunate enough to experience all four seasons; out of all of them, autumn is definitely my favorite. The cooler, cloudy weather, array of beautiful colors, and cozy family holidays are an unbeatable combination!
Yesterday evening, we took a family picnic down by the water. It was quiet and quaint, with only the sounds of mother nature accompanying us. Our girls enjoyed some chicken nuggets π and their favorite: a cold glass of apple juice π
We have truly been enjoying our time together as a family, and feeling very grateful for everything that we have. The Lord has not only blessed us with a baby boy, but a pregnancy where I am not throwing up 30Γ a day. Being in such a rare position has made family time a priority.
I took some great drone shots of the girls as well ππ It is no longer tick season, so we asked the girls if they wanted to lay down in the grass for these shots. Being the fashionistas that we all are, I made sure that they had matching outfits on; the theme here was hearts β€οΈ
They are only 18 months apart, which continues to blow my mind to this day -- I had no idea that we had them so close together! π Yet, I would not have it any other way. They get into quite the fights, but I'm praying that their bond will only strengthen as they grow older...
While flying back, I was also fortunate enough to catch sight of a Great Egret. These birds can be very majestic, but very silly at the same time π As I was observing him hunt the fish, his neck would do a tiny dance before attacking. But, it yielded results! He caught 4 fish while I watched him π
Our girls, having fun π₯° They are always so FULL of energy! It truly baffles my mind -- they are up from about 9AM until 10PM every day, and they are STILL this active at 7PM! π
I love this one; aside from our girls, this photo is probably my favorite one from the entire evening. A lone tree with a full head of gorgeous orange leaves, and the soft sunset in the background... This is how I envision the season -- this is how it makes me feel... Very cozy.
Our youngest daughter in her oversized sweater π₯Ήπ I love this one as well for its beautiful scenery.
Colorfully pink clouds streaked the sky... It was truly a beautiful way to end the day!
Right as we were waiting for the bus, a Common House Spider managed to find us -- and this girl was HUGE! π·π± I believe they are fairly harmless to humans, so we didn't mind our girls checking her out (although they were still TERRIFIED at the size!).
