Is it possible crypto is finally getting exciting again? It seems like it has been forever doesn't it? It's not quite Friday yet, but I am sitting here watching the price of BTC hold a bit above $80K, and I have to admit, I am getting a little pumped. It's not like I think this is going to be some kind of blow off top, we still have a long way to go before we make it back to $125K, but any positive movement is okay with me.
In addition that, it seems to pulled HIVE back from the brink of $.03 as well. That doesn't mean we won't get back there, but I am hoping we can hold above $.04 and if the price of BTC continues to rise, the price of HIVE will follow suit.
I really wasn't expecting this honestly.

It makes me think of a round of disc golf I was playing the other day. I threw my first shot off the tee pad and I had a pretty good lie for my follow up shot. It was your standard approach shot, I had to get around that clump of trees in the middle of the photo to get to the basket behind it. This hole is a par three, but it usually ends up being a bogey for me if not worse. What you can't see behind me is a huge arc back to the tee pad. This hole has a fairway that is like a crescent moon with one tip being the tee pad and the other tip being the basket.
Anyway, I threw my second shot with a bit of what they call anhyzer to get it to curve around that clump of trees and hopefully land somewhere near the basket.
Well, to my surprise, I cleared the trees and the next thing I know chains are clanking. I really expected one of those branches to knock my disc down faster than a well timed orange man tweet. Thankfully, that didn't happen, and hopefully the same doesn't end up happening for crypto right now.
If you look really closely, you can see a bit of pink the basket. That's my disc.

A couple weekends ago, I smoked up a few turkey breast for @mrsbozz and some of her family. It's important to remember that no matter what is happening with the crypto markets or the traditional markets, life goes on. You can't let it consume you, you still have to go on living life.
Which is part of the reason I just keep plugging along here at HIVE. I mean, what else would I be doing with my time right?
HIVE/Splinterlands
Speaking of HIVE, I think I have finally determined that my SPS node license is costing me more than it is making me. That was actually a foregone conclusion, but I was hoping my other SPS rewards could push me past the point of being in the black. That doesn't seem to be the case though, and at this point I am not sure how I want to proceed moving forward. My gut is telling me to shut it down and turn off my subscription. Then another part of me is saying just cover the cost with your HIVE earnings.
Finally, another part of me is still thinking about that Mac Mini I have down in my basement and how hard it might be to spin up the node myself on that. I know there are guides out there. It just depends on how ambitious I want to be and whether the extra electricity cost wouldn't put me back in the red.
GoMining
The other good thing about the price of BTC being up is that it is making my GoMining position a bit more lucrative. I've been enjoying watching my account grow as the price of BTC has been stagnant. This current turn feels more like a gusher and I know we aren't really even in the thick of it yet!
If you want to get some special perks like a 5% bonus on your first miner, a free month of the platinum+ tier, and some other benefits, feel free to use my referral code!
Beyond that, I just have one final thing to say about BTC....
