Christmas has finally arrived on the Upper East Side, and I have to say, “Roman Holiday” was a really enjoyable episode. After all the drama at the Cotillion Ball, it was nice to see something a little more focused on family, love and holiday traditions.
Blair's storyline was probably my favorite part. She's so excited about her father's return, but things don't go exactly as she imagined when he arrives with an unexpected guest. I actually felt sorry for her. Sometimes Blair acts spoiled and controlling, but moments like these remind me that she just wants her family to be together again.
I also loved seeing Serena trying to organize a special Christmas surprise for Dan with Jenny and Vanessa's help. Their relationship has become one of the sweetest parts of the show, and it's refreshing to watch them enjoy something without constantly fighting over secrets.
Of course, nothing is ever completely simple in Gossip Girl. Even during Christmas, everyone seems to have their own expectations, disappointments and complicated feelings.
What I liked most about this episode was its atmosphere. The decorations, presents and family gatherings made everything feel warm and festive, even when things weren't going perfectly.
⭐ My Rating: 90/100
A sweet and entertaining Christmas episode. Maybe not as exciting as “Hi, Society,” but I really appreciated seeing a more emotional side of Blair and some genuinely lovely moments between Dan and Serena.
Sometimes a little Christmas magic is exactly what a series needs! ❤️
