1️⃣ Temperate parts of the world typically experience four "seasons" of the year — spring, summer, autumn, and winter. But some parts of the world have a "dry season," a "rainy season," or "seasons" where there are frequent storms, extreme cold, extreme heat, El Niño, Harmattan, and so forth. Which is the most difficult season of the year for you? Why is it difficult, and what do you do to make it bearable?

I live in Venezuela, a place that doesn’t have four distinct seasons; instead, we only have a dry season and a rainy season. I’m actually quite curious about what it’s like to experience four clearly defined seasons—what it must feel like to touch snow, for instance, since the closest thing I’ve ever seen here is hail. That said, I suppose things are better this way, as it’s more affordable—I don’t have to buy winter clothes or invest in a heating system! 😄 However, of the two climatic cycles we have in my country, I must confess that I don’t particularly care for the rainy season. Of course, I recognize that it’s necessary—water is life, right?—but when it rains too much, it makes my daily activities difficult. For example, if I need to do laundry, the rain makes it impossible to dry my clothes; if I need to go somewhere, the rain gets in the way. To make matters worse, we’re currently dealing with leaks in our roof, so whenever it rains, we have to mop up the floor! 😏 On the other hand, the rain—provided you aren’t caught out in it on the street—can actually be quite comforting. So, when I’m at home, I make the experience more "bearable" by brewing some coffee and enjoying it while I browse the internet on my phone—it’s as simple as that.

2️⃣ If you live in an area of world where seasons are usually predicable and regular, do you like that stability, where weather usually follows expected patterns? Or do you like more variety, where weather is more changeable? Is there one season when you really thrive and you're the happiest?

I would really like to have distinct seasons—and I don’t necessarily mean the four traditional seasons (since, as I’ve mentioned, I think it’s actually better not to have a winter). What I mean is that climate change has caused a great deal of instability. For instance, I remember that when I was a child, the rainy and dry seasons were very clearly defined, which allowed people to plan their lives much more efficiently. My mother, for example, could tell whether or not it was going to rain just by looking at the sky. Nowadays, however, even professional meteorological observatories—which are equipped to provide weather forecasts—often get it wrong. Perhaps this is because climate change has made everything unpredictable at times; it’s quite easy to get caught in an unexpected downpour while outdoors. Consequently, I find that I’m happier during the dry season, as it allows me to be more productive.

I may enjoy the changes in the seasons in my country of Canada but the cost of energy and heating here is getting expensive especially in the fall and winter months of the year. In Vancouver, we got no more than three days of genuine snow for last year. The weather is comparatively mild here @carmen1659 ⛄️

You’re right about the unpredictability of the weather; it can lead to disappointment, especially when it disrupts your plans or interrupts your workflow. Have a good night! @carmen1659
