English Version

The things that happen in the course of one's nightly routine in the springtime garden of life.

We were gathered for a pleasant late-night chat in our club's springtime garden, with the sounds of tiny toads providing the background music—but... there is always a "but." Their croaking is so resonant that it still echoes in our ears long after we’ve returned to the silence of our bedrooms; yet, we have become addicted to them.

It had rained heavily that day, and the little rascals decided to come out, climbing the walls and swaying on the twigs of the yard plants; one of them landed right on my chest.

Someone immediately reacted: "Watch out—that toad is going to hop right into your mouth!" I stood up and brushed it off, but the famous "Toad Syndrome"—something people talk about so much—instantly came to mind.

Thankfully, by the grace of God, I don't suffer from it—at least not for now. Who knows about tomorrow? That’s just how life goes.

"Toad Syndrome" consists of: hubris, arrogance, overbearingness, and obstinacy.

The important thing is not to infect others with our own bitter, turbulent inner state.
