Good evening, magnificent Hive community! I send you my warmest greetings and hope you are all doing well. I also send my warmest regards to the https://scrobble.life/ ,a big hug to everyone! On this occasion, I am pleased to share a review of one of The Beatles' earliest songs, which in my opinion is one of the most beautiful tracks composed by Lennon and McCartney during the initial stages of Beatlemania. I am talking about none other than the song "If I Feel," a beautiful ballad. I hope you enjoy my review today.fe4.jpg

"If I Feel" is formally credited to John Lennon and Paul McCartney, recorded on February 27, 1964, at EMI Recording Studios in London, under the Parlophone label, and produced, like over 93% of their songs, by George Martin.

It's the third track on side A of the album "A Hard Day's Night," and it's also featured on the soundtrack of the film of the same name, released in July 1964.

I personally think it's a very beautiful song, both for the lyrics, which are obviously inspired by deep love, and for the vocal tones and nuances, which make it a musical gem, both then and now. That's why I consider it timeless and eternal. It features a technique they used a lot in those years, with Martin's help: recording the vocals twice, in different takes of the song. Besides giving the impression of multiple singers in the choir, there are only two, John and Paul. It's a technique that sounds very beautiful and was relatively easy to do. Currently, there are demos, acoustic versions, and live performances of that song, all done with creativity, passion, and a lot of talent—too much, I'd say.

In the scene from the film, which is the video I'm bringing up today, they're rehearsing on a recording set, practicing the song, and one of the technicians starts playing with one of Ringo's drumsticks. Ringo, noticing this, gets annoyed, and John then picks up his acoustic guitar and tries to calm Ringo down by starting to sing.

I hope you enjoyed this little review I shared of this beautiful song, wishing you all many blessings. Warm regards.

Saludo amigo.

A classic to enjoy inspiring lyrics and beautiful voices. To remember is to live, and what better way to do so than this? Covers will always be a good choice as long as they showcase vocal skill and powerful interpretation.

  • Wow, what a great song they've released! It's impressive what they achieved back then.

What a beautiful song, it sounds so lovely, so romantic, I love it. The choruses are so complex, could you explain how they achieved that technique with only two singers? !LADY
