Greetings, fellow coffee lovers! Welcome back to my blog. This time, I’d like to share with you my visit to one of the oldest and most hidden coffee shops in the city of San Cristóbal: La Francia Cafetín, which has been in business since 1907.

Located within the Ateneo del Táchira complex is this little spot where you can enjoy a wide variety of treats, snacks, lunch, and, of course, coffee.

I arrived there to take shelter from the cold rain. I came across a tribute to a great cultural figure from my city who left a legacy of puppet theater productions, and they were putting on a lovely performance.

I sat at a table a little away from the crowd, and the aroma of freshly brewed coffee drew me in. I was particularly impressed that they provided an internet connection—and the menu.
At that moment, all I wanted was a strong cup of coffee to regain the energy I’d expended running through the cold rain. The lady brought me a small cup of coffee in a pretty, colorful mug. It was strong and delicious; she told me that the coffee they used at the café was from a local harvest.

Being there in the rain, saying goodbye to a well-known figure from the region, thinking about the legacy we leave behind, the aroma of my coffee—it was a moment of deep reflection.

Despite the bustle of the people attending the tribute, the rain caused many to stop and watch the raindrops soak the entire courtyard of the cultural center. Meanwhile, from my table, I lost myself in sips of my cup of coffee. One cup wasn’t enough; as soon as I finished it, I immediately ordered another, and I can assure you I enjoyed it just as much.
Thank you for joining me on this visit to La Francia Cafetín. See you next time. Bye!

Chao!
