Greetings, friends! Today, with a heavy heart and a lump in my throat—one month after the tragedy that literally shook Venezuela, not only the very foundations of the earth but also the deepest parts of our souls, as we watched so many of our brothers and sisters in La Guaira trapped under the rubble of their own homes, saw how many lost their lives, and how others lost everything—I am posting this in solidarity with the survivors of this tragedy.
On a previous occasion, I organized a campaign on Hive so that everyone could pitch in and help prepare bags of treats to hand out at Christmas to the children in my community. It was so heartwarming to see how the Hivers contributed to bringing joy to the little ones in my neighborhood.
This time, I’m launching a much larger and truly necessary campaign, in which I wholeheartedly ask Hivers to do their part to provide some of the items needed by the earthquake survivors in Venezuela.
That's why, with the permission of the @ladiesofhive, I'd like to open a channel for donations and form a partnership with the Quiero un Angel foundation to contribute our support as the large community we are on Hive.
Thanks to @annafenix’s recommendation, we were able to find a verified foundation with a long history of providing support to those who need it most—and best of all, they personally deliver the donations they collect. That’s how we came across “Quiero un Angel.”
I got in touch with the foundation’s director, Caroline García. She’s a wonderful person who took the time to explain to me what they’re doing right there in La Guaira.

She explained to me that they are putting together several kits for women containing personal hygiene items, including toilet paper, soap, deodorant, feminine hygiene products, shampoo, toothpaste, and a toothbrush. These kits cost approximately $9 to $10, depending on where the products are purchased.

She also showed me the kits for children; we couldn’t determine a cost because of the number of items they give to the children: a backpack for them to store their things, an art kit with colored pencils, a notebook, and candy.
They also have kits for men and babies. Each package contains essential items.
At a time like this, when aid, support, and donations have decreased significantly, we can contribute to purchasing some items for these kits that they distribute every week. These could include rechargeable flashlights and blankets, bottled water, and some rehydration salts.
How can we contribute?
Everything we collect will go toward putting together kits so that Quiero un Angel can deliver them directly in La Guaira.
You can make your contribution in Hive, HBD, USDT, or USD via Zelle. This way, as the big family we are in the hive, we can come together once again for a good cause.
We’ll provide receipts for everything purchased and will post an update showing the entire process of delivering the donations.

Quiero un Angel para Venezuela. Una puerta abierta para llevar esperanza a los que nos necesitan
Saludos amigos! Hoy con el corazón arrugado y un nudo en la garganta, a un mes de la tragedia que literalmente sacudió Venezuela, no solamente los cimientos de la tierra, también lo más profundo de nuestra alma al ver tantos de nuestros hermanos de la Guaira bajo los escombros de sus propias casas, ver como muchos perdieron la vida y como otros perdieron todo, hago esta publicación en solidaridad con los sobrevivientes de esta tragedia.
En una ocasión anterior,he organizado una campaña en Hive para que todos pudieran colaborar y así armar cotillones de dulces para repartir en navidad a los niños de mi comunidad. Fue muy hermoso ver como los Hivers aportaron para llevar alegría a los pequeños de mi barrio.
En esta oportunidad vengo con una campaña mucho más amplia y realmente necesaria, donde de todo corazón les pido a los Hivers que aporten su granito de arena para llevar algunas de las cosas que necesitan los sobrevivientes del terremoto en Venezuela.
Es por eso que con el permiso de las @ladiesofhive me gustaría abrir una puerta para donaciones y hacer una alianza con la fundación Quiero un Angel para llevar nuestro aporte, como la gran comunidad que somos en Hive.
Gracias a la recomendación de @annafenix pudimos conseguir una fundación verificable, con una trayectoria amplia llevando apoyo a los que más lo necesitan y lo mejor de todo es que van ellos mismos a entregar las donaciones que se recolectan. Así fue como llegamos a "Quiero un Angel".
Me puse en contacto con la encargada de la fundación Caroline García. Una una maravillosa persona que me atendió para decirme lo que están haciendo directamente en la Guaira.

Ella me explicó que están armando varios kits para damas con artículos de aseo personal, tienen: papel higiénico, jabón, desodorante, toallas femeninas, champú, dentrifico y cepillo dental. Que tienen un costo aproximado de 9 a 10$ dependiendo del lugar donde se compren los productos.

También me enseñó los kits para niños, no pudimos establecer un costo por la cantidad de cosas que entregan a los niños: Un morral para que guarden sus cosas, un kit de pintura con lápices de colores, un cuaderno y golosinas.
También tienen kits para hombres y para bebés. En cada paquete colocan artículos de primera necesidad.
En estos momentos, donde la ayuda, el apoyo y las donaciones se han reducido considerablemente, podemos aportar para comprar algunos artículos para estos kits que entregan cada semana. Pueden ser linternas recargables y cobijas, agua mineral y algunas sales de hidratación.
¿Cómo podemos aportar?
Todo lo que vamos a recolectar lo destinaremos a armar kits para que Quiero un Angel pueda entregarlos directamente en la Guaira.
