[TV] QUEEN CHARLOTTE: A BEAUTIFUL AND HEARTBREAKING LOVE STORY.

Hello everyone it's your girl @chisom13❤️

A movie I can wholeheartedly give the “yes it was worth the hype” response to and I believe many people who have seen this movie would have the same response.

I went into this series expecting romance, beautiful costumes and the usual elegance that comes with the Bridgerton world. What I didn't expect was how emotional Queen Charlotte and King George's story would become🥹.

Queen Charlotte, tells the story of a young woman who was sent to England to marry a man she had never met before, King George.

Imagine being sent to another entirely different country, to marry a complete stranger. What would you do if you were caught up in a situation whereby your whole future had already been planned for you by someone else?

Queen Charlotte was not the type of woman to just sit quietly and accept everything. She was a very strong, courageous and outspoken young lady who no matter what, had a say in her own life.

At first, she tried to escape 🤣, in the process, she saw a handsome young man and asked him to assist her in climbing the wall😂. That was when she met George. He was the handsome man she asked for help and he talked to her gently, with so much care and love even though they had just met. What began as an arranged marriage suddenly developed into something more meaningful.

Charlotte is one of the characters I loved so much. She was intelligent, curious, and fearless. Even after she became queen, she didn't change her personality just because everyone around her expected a certain kind of behaviour from a queen. She was also a kind queen🥰.

Then there is King George.

Initially, when they first met, he was sweet, caring, romantic, and gentle with Charlotte but then, he suddenly changed completely to an entirely different person. He became cold, distant and always tried to push his wife, Queen Charlotte away. He always acted as if he was afraid of being close to her.

I was confused at first, but as the movie progressed, I discovered that he was dealing with serious mental health struggles.

He pushed her away not because he didn't love her or he was scared of her. He was fighting battles within himself that he couldn't simply control.

Sometimes, he pushed Charlotte away because he believed she deserved a better life and sometimes, he did that because he was scared he would go out of control and eventually hurt her.

But when Charlotte found out about it, she choose to stay. Even though their love didn't make George struggles disappear, together they found a way to make their marriage work. Love existed between them.

Lady Danbury's younger story portrayed the strong and confident woman we know from Bridgerton. Seeing her journey toward independence made me appreciate her character even more🥰.

If you truly love someone, you have to be able to love them during their lowest moment. You can't claim to love them without loving their flaws and imperfection. Only then can it truly be called 'love'. Queen Charlotte and others portray this quality so well and that is what makes their characters so strong and amazing.

Overall, every single second I spent watching the movie was worth it.

Thank you stopping by my blog today ❤️, I will really appreciate your love and support.

I have watched the shorts and it was honestly looking captivating but I couldn't find enough time to watch it, maybe next time. Great review!

I haven't seen this show, even though I've read and heard good reviews about it—a love story I never expected to happen, between two strangers. These kinds of stories only happen on TV; I wish it were like that in real life. I wouldn't mind marrying a stranger if it meant I'd become queen, haha.
