For some days, I am listening to a song again and again. I found this song from YouTube suggestions. I like old English songs so maybe the YouTube algorithm understood that I would like this song. I am talking about the song Boulevard of Broken Dreams by Green Day, from their album American Idiot.
The album was released on September 20, 2004. But the song was released later on November 29, 2004.
The lead singer of the song is Billie Joe Armstrong. I should mention that he is also the lead singer and guitarist of Green Day. Mike Dirnt plays bass and Tré Cool plays the drums. They even gives background vocals in the song. You shouldn't be surprised that the song was written by this trio.
When I first listened to this song, I really liked the music and the overall feeling of it. The song has a lonely and emotional feeling. The lyrics are mainly about being alone, walking your own path, trying to find who you are and where you belong.
I am sure you will like how the song starts slowly and then becomes more powerful with the guitar, drums, and Billie Joe's voice making the song more emotional. It may be an old song, but the lyrics of the song will make you feel very good when you feel alone.
