I recall describing the world of Holozing as one rife with corporations; in fact, the story's central premise revolves around the mystery of how the creatures vanished and whether the corporations are to blame, let's delve deeper into that.
After thinking about how Corpo managed to become such an important part of the world of Holozing, I kept wondering what could happen next. We already have the idea of a company that became too powerful and changed the way people interacted with creatures, but I think there is still a lot of room to explore what comes after that.
For me, the most interesting part is not simply seeing Corpo as a big evil company. I think it would be much more interesting if its influence was more complicated. Maybe Corpo did many things for the right reasons at first, but over time the company became more interested in control, money and keeping its position.
That could also explain why the world of Holozing feels so different from the past.
The creatures are not just part of nature anymore. They have become something that people can study, collect, reproduce and even turn into digital experiences. This creates a strange relationship between humans and creatures, especially when we think about the Zings and what they could represent in the future.
I think this is where Holozing has an interesting opportunity with its lore.
The Zings could become more than just holographic versions of creatures. They could represent the last connection between humans and a world that has already disappeared. Instead of simply being digital copies, they could slowly become a way for people to understand what the old world was really like.
And that could create a conflict that is much bigger than Corpo.
What happens when people start asking whether these creatures should belong to a company at all?
This is something I would like to see explored. Maybe some people would want to preserve the system because they believe Corpo is protecting the last remaining traces of the creatures. Others could believe that the creatures should be free, even if they are only holograms.
There doesn't have to be a simple answer.
I also think the future of Holozing could benefit from showing more of the people living in this world. We know a lot about the creatures and the technology, but there is still plenty of space to explore how normal people feel about everything that happened.
For some, the Zings could be entertainment. For others, they could be memories of something they never had the chance to see. And for another group, they could be the closest thing humanity has to bringing the creatures back.
This is why I don't think Corpo's story has to end with its defeat.
Its influence could remain in the world even after the company loses control. The technology, the experiments and the decisions made in the past could continue affecting everyone.
That would make the world feel much more alive.
Holozing already has the ingredients for an interesting story: creatures, technology, humans, corporations and a world that has changed dramatically. Now I think the next step is seeing how all those elements begin to collide.
Personally, I would love to see the lore move in that direction, while still leaving enough mystery for the community to imagine what happened and what could happen next.
