The beauty of the night is incredible. With the sun out, life is an endless race. Cars are honking, people are yelling, phones are ringing, and machines are working at full capacity. The speed of the world is faster than the world can keep up with from sunrise until sunset we're stuck in that never-ending chase of work, errands, noise and continuous movement.
At the end of every day, though, the world begins to slow down. Those same streets which were once bursting with the energy of restless people are now quiet. Traffic is easier, the air is softer, and even the wind whispers as opposed to rushing.
Night time has always been my favorite for that exact reason. Once the noise disappears, peace becomes audible. The world slows down and so do we. You almost don't hear the horns of the cars or the whining of the train; it's as if the earth took a deep breath. The night brings its own sense of peace, it is a language of silence and soft air. That is when I feel the most alive not due to the energy of the night, but the calmness of the night.
