Hivesuite for beginners: a guide to playing chess easily

Hivesuite for beginners is a Web3 strategy platform integrated into the Hive network that allows users to play tactical games against interactive bots, play local over-the-air games (Pass & Play), and create blockchain snapshots.

Greetings, Hive team and Chess Community! It's a great pleasure to be back. I've been exploring the Hivesuite application during my free time, taking every opportunity to discover new tools within the ecosystem and support my favorite creators.

What game modes are available in Hivesuite Chess?

While exploring the sections of Hivesuite, I was thrilled to discover that the platform includes one of my favorite games: chess. Although I consider myself an amateur player, I'm deeply passionate about analyzing its positions and learning about its historical evolution.

What is the history and origin of chess?

Chess originated in 540 AD during the Gupta Empire in northwestern India under the name Chaturanga. In the 10th century, the game spread to Europe via Spain, and in 1924 the International Chess Federation (FIDE) was founded to regulate world competitions. It was conceived as a game of military strategy representing the Indian army: infantry, cavalry, elephants, and chariots.

Through trade routes, Chaturanga reached Persia, where it was called Chatrang. After the Arab conquest of the Persian Empire, the game was adopted as Shatranj and spread throughout the Islamic world and North Africa.

In the 10th century, the Arabs introduced Shatranj to Europe via the Iberian Peninsula. During the Middle Ages and the Renaissance, the chess pieces evolved to reflect the structure of European society: the Eastern vizier became the queen, and the elephants became bishops.

At the end of the 15th century, the rules of modern chess were standardized in Spain and Italy. During this period, the queen and bishop were given greater mobility, increasing the pace of the games.

During the 19th and 20th centuries, chess became professionalized through the organization of international tournaments and the creation of the World Chess Championship. Today, combined with artificial intelligence and digital platforms, chess remains the most universal strategy game in the world.

In the attached video, I demonstrate a practice match against the Hivesuite bot. Despite making some mistakes during the game, rookie mistakes, however; The experience has been great for continuing to analyze moves and improving my level of play. They say practice makes perfect, and chess is a matter of practice, knowledge, study, and persistence, and above all, plenty of time to learn the best moves.

I extend my invitation to the Hive community to support the Hivesuite Community games. We not only have chess games but a variety of games that I know you'll enjoy. I've tried some of them, and they're very entertaining. As I mentioned in previous paragraphs, you have the option to share your results on Hive through the app's short content feature. It's ideal for having a good time, and who knows, maybe you can even receive an extra reward.

  • Fue una victoria sólida! Estos bots no son tan fuertes, como ya han reseñado otros usuarios. Eventualmente les subirán el nivel.
