@priyanarc held court for the Ladies of Hive this past week. Priyan's 8 year tenure on Hive documents her vibrant life on and off chain. She's an architect by trade and a wanderer at heart who’s turned Hive into her own travel journal, chronicling everything from the Swiss Alps to the canals of Delft. She brings a curator’s eye and a storyteller’s warmth to every post she touches.
Founders Who Support Other Founders Thrive
They say that a fisherman can see another fisherman from afar. Being a founder is no light-weight task, and sticking with it for the long haul can be tiresome even when things are rolling right along.
CWH founder @alessandrawhite has been a fan of @ladiesofhive founders @thekittygirl and @silversaver888 since her first month on the chain. Although they live a continent apart, these two ladies are close because of their love for Hive, so together in 2020, they co-founded the Ladies of Hive community. Six years later Alessandra subbed in as Guest Judge for the Ladies of Hive Community Contest no. 275. Getting a look under the hood of the weekly writing contest gave her the inspiration to do something special to support the community and authors who publish there.
CWH Invests in Writers Weekly
To honor the efforts of the community and to celebrate the more than 300 amazing weeks of community posts, Alessandra, @bitterirony, and the crew of Creative Work Hour have signed on to sponsor each week's Ladies of Hive Contest, beginning with Week 300, 9 August, 2026.
If you're not so familiar with the workings of the contest, each week's guest judge provides two prompts. Authors can enter by writing to one, the other, or both in their contest entry post. Over the course of the week, the guest judge curates the posts. At the end of the contest week, the judge chooses one First Place post, one Second Place post, and three Third Place posts.
CWH Invests in HIVE Daily
The Creative Work Hour sponsorship of the weekly Ladies of Hive Contest awards prizes funded by daily HIVE raised based on the number of active Hivians who join us each day for our sessions, where we work on writing posts, creating images and packaging for posts, or whatever creative work needs doing. It works a little like matching donations, but instead of contributing HIVE, you contribute your attendance. Then @creativeworkhour stakes an amount of HIVE every day based on the number of Hivians present during the live session.
We're kicking up our contributions — not just in daily Hive Power, but alongside Ladies of Hive we're also giving @steembasicincome (HSBI), to further invest in the future of LoH's winning authors. Let's celebrate their creative work!

Alessandra represents Hive at tech conferences and creative events all around the world, but home for her isn't pinned to a postal code — it's a way of living, one where things get built, tested, busted, and put out into the world as works in progress.
