Since the last incident along the coast, I have decided to remain on high alert. There are signs that worry me, and lately, my dreams have grown even more troubling. For this reason, I have chosen to send letters to my closest allies—to keep them informed and see if they might be able to assist. I have already received responses from many quarters; while they offer a glimmer of hope, they are understandably reluctant to involve themselves in matters as delicate as dimensional rifts, lest they put their own lands at risk. I do grasp their position, yet I had truly hoped that some might already possess knowledge regarding what is unfolding—but, unfortunately, I was mistaken.
Desde la última incidencia que ocurrió en las costas he decidido estar en alerta máxima, señales que me preocupan y últimamente los sueños han sido peores, por esto he decidido enviar cartas a los aliados más cercanos para que estén al tanto y saber si me pueden ayudar. Ya he recibido respuestas de muchos sitios, que han mostrado esperanzas para mí, pero que se limitan a entrometerse en temas tan delicados como las grietas dimensionales para no poner en peligro a sus tierras, y yo los entiendo, pero esperaba realmente que algunos ya tuvieran conocimiento sobre lo que pasa y desafortunadamente me he equivocado.
Here in my lands in the Great Lowlands, things are generally going well; fortunately, all the residents are happy. Although they try to hide it, I know they are worried about me—and I don’t like that. Ever since the tragedy along the coast, my dreams have been strange; no matter how well they begin, they always end in chaos. I hope to get some rest tonight. Looking out the window, I see the guards and notice that the lighting has been increased for security. In the sky, I spot a very bright star—one that, come to think of it, I have never seen before. It has such a mesmerizing glow that it is truly striking, and I find myself unable to look away.
Desde mis tierras en Great Lowlands estamos en general bien, afortunadamente todos los residentes están felices y aunque tratan de ocultarlo, sé que están preocupados por mí, y eso no me gusta. Desde la tragedia en las costas, mis sueños han sido extraños, todos por bien que comiencen terminan en caos. Esta noche espero poder descansar, Mirando por la ventana veo a los guardias y que la iluminación ha aumentado para la seguridad, en el cielo noto una estrella muy brillante, que pensando bien jamás había visto, tiene un brillo tan hipnotizante que realmente sorprende y no me deja quitarle la mirada.
I turn and look around my room; a brilliant, white light streams in through the window, revealing a gift from the Light Elves—a blessed amulet for my dreams, bearing the seal of the moon for protection. I lie down to sleep and quickly drift into a deep slumber, leading to an incredibly peaceful dream: a beautiful meadow set against mountains with ice-capped peaks that fill me with a profound sense of calm. Fairies flit about, enchanting me with their radiance, and I am enveloped by a lovely sense of peace—something I haven’t felt in days.
Volteo y miro mi habitación, y una luz resplandeciente y blanca entra por la ventana, revelando una entrega de parte de los elfos de Luz, quienes me han enviado un amuleto bendito para mis sueños, con el sello de la luna para que me proteja. In the distance I begin to hear noises from a door that wake me up. They are those in charge of the land sectors who gave me a letter marked with a highly important seal that should be read now. From the orcs of Light, specifically King Erminaz Twincleaver, who has just proposed to me to use some ancient hot springs, but I must bring some elves who are specialists in these places and who can bless it again, as an experiment and an attempt to recover a site that can be used for common goods between the different lands.
A lo lejos comienzo a escuchar ruidos de una puerta que me despiertan, son los encargados de los sectores de las tierras quienes me entregaron una carta marcada con un sello de alta importancia que debía ser leído ya. De parte de los orcos de Luz, específicamente del Rey Erminaz Twincleaver, quien acaba de proponerme utilizar unas antiguas aguas termales, pero debo llevar algunos elfos especialistas en estos sitios y que puedan bendecirla de nuevo, como un experimento y un intento de recuperar un sitio que puede ser utilizado para bienes comunes entre las distintas tierras.
Since it was a viable option, I accepted. We awaited instructions from them, which arrived before long: at sunset, the forest archway would lead us to this king’s lands. That is what we expected, and that is exactly what happened. Upon passing through the arch, we were met by two orcs who escorted us to the king. Along the way, the orc guards recounted legends about this place—a site they now seek to restore. It is said that, thousands of years ago, it was used to cure various ailments and curses; however, after many wars, it was destroyed and abandoned—until the first "orcs of light" arrived and claimed the site. It was only recently that ancient blueprints were discovered, revealing the location’s original purpose.
Como es una opción viable, acepté. Esperamos instrucciones de parte de ellos, las cuales no tardaron en llegar; al caer el sol, el arco del bosque nos conectará con las tierras de este rey. Así lo esperamos y así sucedió. Al entrar en el arco, nos recibieron dos orcos que nos dirigieron hacia el rey. En el camino, los orcos guardias nos contaron las leyendas de este sitio que quieren reponer, se dice que hace miles de años se utilizaba para curar muchas enfermedades y maldiciones, pero tras muchas guerras esta fue destruida y abandonada hasta que los primeros orcos de luz llegaron a tomar el lugar; fue recientemente que encontraron antiguos planos y se descubrió su antiguo uso.
We presented ourselves before the king, who received us with respect and enthusiasm, and immediately walked with us toward these ancient waters. Upon arrival, we noticed that the flow of water had been cut off. After a brief inspection by the elemental elves—who concluded that the blockage was created by magic and that, according to the carvings on the surrounding stones, it had to be activated by an object representing each element—we suggested using an item from each of us. For the fire element, however, I placed a fire stone, similar to the one we used for Ineyashami’s necklace. We performed our respective blessing rituals, awaiting a result; just as we began to fear we had failed, a surge of heat drew our attention. Each elemental offering was accepted, and the waters began to flow once more.
Nos presentamos con el rey y este, con respeto y entusiasmo, nos recibió y de inmediato caminó con nosotros hacia estas aguas antiguas. Al llegar, notamos que el flujo del agua estaba cortado y, luego de una breve inspección con los elfos de distintos elementos, quienes concluyeron que esta fue creada con magia y que, según los tallados de las piedras alrededor, debía ser activada con algo que represente cada elemento. Sugerimos una prenda de cada uno de nosotros, pero en el fuego coloqué una piedra de fuego como la que usamos con el collar de Ineyashami. Desde luego, hicimos nuestros procesos de bendición esperando resultados, mientras creíamos que no lo lográbamos el calor nos hizo mirar. Cada prenda de elementos fue aceptada y dichas aguas volvieron a fluir.
