Greetings, Fabulous Felines and Hoomans of Hivelandia and surrounding communities!
It has been a bit of a gray and grimy weekend, so far, but any day that's a Caturday is considered a good day, around here! The sun came out for about 30 minutes this morning... but, alas, it quickly went away.
Making the most of what little sun we had this morning...
The Hoomans are happy to be quietly at home on this weekend which has one of the largest annual festivals here in our town, bringing many thousands of visitors.
In past years, the Hoomans have been gone on this weekend, doing one of their "arts and crafts things" on this weekend, but this year they decided to pass it up. I think they are quite happy to have made that choice, given that it has started raining!
Nala, perfecting the Art of the Nap!
Naturally, we cats are very happy about that, as we'd much rather have someone at home to feed us treats and provide laps for good napping!
The Mom-Hooman is already celebrating not working with an afternoon of watching one of her favorite shows on the TV, with me by her side for much of the day!
Shangri, taking over the Dad-Hooman's chair. Because why not?
Meanwhile, Nala is hanging out with the Dad-Hooman, who's busy catching up with some of his "paperwork" ahead of the coming holiday season. I honestly don't know why Hoomans keep track of so many numbers...
To be honest, the only paperwork I am interested in is when he wads up a sheet of paper into a ball and tosses it into the next room so I can give chase!
Nala, posing prettily and showing off her green eyes
And not to worry, I am not trying to turn into a dog, here! I do not "fetch" or anything silly like that. Well... sometimes I do. A little bit...
Preparations continue for the Hoomans' next art and craft show that they are doing the last weekend of the month. I will continue to supervise till the very end!
I take my supervisory duties seriously!
We can really tell that fall is arriving by the shorter days... but also by the fact that our very fuzzy housemate Smudge is starting to "bush out" and grow her thick winter coat.
As I might have shared at some point in the past, Smudge is actually from northern Norway — or maybe it was Finland(?) — so she's used to the idea of cold dark winters... although she was a tiny kitten when she came here.

I suppose we should feel excited about our Hive token being back to $0.05 again, but I'm not going to hold my breath on that one. Merely observing that it happened on this day, but no expectations.
It's sort of sad that the whole crypto thing never really lived up to its original promise. But such is life!
Looking out at the dreary day...
And that's about all we have for this update! We do appreciate you stopping in to visit our little cat blog and hope you'll come back to visit again!
Until then, have a wonderful Sunday!

Love Cats? Get Involved in Hive's Cat Communities!
If you're a cat lover and often/sometimes post pictures or other content that includes your feline friends, why not become an active part of Hive's growing Cat Communities?
These are some of the more active Cat Communities — why not join them ALL? Many of the allow you to share your cat posts, even if you started at a different community!
HiveCats by @curatorcat is a central "gathering place" for cat content on Hive; promoting the use of the #hivecats tag for feline content!
Cat Snaps by @manorvillemike is a place to post pictures of your cats when you don't have a whole lot to say beyond just sharing your cute photos!
Caturday by @saboin is a community where we get to celebrate posts relating to Saturday — aka "Caturday" — our own special day!
Cat Photos by @andrarchy is a "mixed use" cat content community; posts can be just photos or longer, as long as the subject is CATS!
Cats by @captainklaus (and Sissi!) is another "general" cat content community.
There are a number of other feline communities listed on Hive, but I am not sharing them for now as they have not had any activity (by their Admins OR users) since the Steem/Hive fork. Updates as they become available!
