Its been a long time since I did not visit this place again, and it the views are changing a lot. The first time I visited here was this parts of the structure here was once filled and constructed with solid concrete. But as many years has past and the climate changes, it was completely submerged at the bottom of the sea water. This was once an old port for small wooden boats who came from the sea loading with lots of fish. Almost few meters of the structure was completely destroyed by big and rough waves. The foundation of the structure was also destroyed and the long post located at the the water was once a foundation of a simple waiting shed here built that time. Rooftops are already flew away by strong wind and the concrete pathway are completely cut.
This structure was built 20 years already and it is supported with big rocks and coral as base before putting solid concrete at the top. This place is located at Barangay Calangahan Lugait, Misamis Oriental. I was traveling almost 20 minutes from National road going in here.
At the middle of the Barangay is this concrete Barangay road leads and connected to the National road here in the Province. Hundreds of houses and few commercial establishments are built and all of the access road here are built in concrete. Small vehicles like Cars, Motorcycles, Bicycles and Mini-dump trucks can be passing by here. Each side of the road contains lots of houses built.
This is a small chapel here in Barangay Calangahan, every 4th of April, they celebrated their Barangay Fiesta and it is built very unique and already very old structure. The designs makes the structure very more attractive and the ground is already well concrete so the Church goers can keep away from mud and dust situations.
Rock walls are found in the place and some parts of it are grown with tall big trees. One of this is the very old Kaloot tree, it contains big roots and trunks and it gives shade and cool areas because of the wide branches. The roots are sticking at the rock walls and at the holes of the rocks and it already lives almost hundred years old. Many strong winds happens here but still this trees is majestically standing and wont fall to the ground because of the roots that has been sticking at the big rocks.
The entire place is occupied with lots pf houses, even if it is a kind of slope areas or near at the coastal areas. This series of unique houses are built near at the coast, and it can really reach by big waves. To prevent that, the residents decided to built concrete walls so the dry soil wont be collapsed everytime when there is a strong, big and rough waves happens. Houses are perfectly built durable so it wont easily flew away by strong winds and most of it are made of solid concrete.
Small boats made of light materials are placed here near at the shore, unique waiting shed are also built but instead of reconstructiolng new waiting shed at the same areas where drown today, the residents decided to built here at the dry land. This small boats will set sail to sea every afternoon until evening and it is anchored by big ropes tied at the concrete post so it wont washed away by sea water.
This spot here is perfect for those who wants to go for a swim. Every weekend, there are lots of people came here just to spend time swimming at the sea. Only few big rocks are at the sea bottom and most parts of the place are tons with fine sands. Even this place is hidden in the National road and cannot be easily seen by the pass goers, those who will visit here will be surprised how beautiful the Place is.
