Happy Thursday, artistic friends of #sketchbook!
I hope everyone is off to a great start today. I’m sharing an illustration I created a couple of days ago but am only posting now because I’ve been busy. It’s a piece with a surrealist touch inspired by the artist Fang Lijun, reimagined featuring one of my own characters. While I incorporated certain aspects of the artist's work, I adapted them to my own style, and I’m really pleased with the result—it’s one of my favorite recent illustrations. Here is the process.
And so, I wrap up my early #hive post with this illustration; I really enjoyed creating it and love how it turned out. I hope you all like it, and I encourage you to look up the work of artist Fang Lijun if you aren't familiar with him—I'll be sharing more later.
