Happy weekend to everyone in #sketchbook; I hope you’re all doing well today.

I’m back in the community with an illustration—specifically, one I created several years ago. The original version was in black and white, but I decided to add color, and I think it turned out well; it really came to life. This is just one of several pieces I’ve found that I want to color and add extra details to. Now, I’ll show you the process.

    Showing the before and after between the old black-and-white version and the new color pass makes the upgrade feel earned, the sketchbook crowd must love watching that unfold.

    Giving an old black-and-white drawing its colors years later is a lovely reunion with your younger self as an artist.
