Went down to the greenway this a.m to run the baby and was greeted less than favorably by what can only be described as an ineluctable chill. BRRR! Little early in the season for all that. Winter's coming in hot.

I try to keep at least a beanie and a pair of gloves in the car at all times. I can vaguely remember removing them in the middle of summer now.

So, I did what any other 21st century experiment who relies on their phone for life support would do in this situation—went to the App Store and downloaded a thermostat.

Best comment section I've read in a long time! Will now toddle off and try and make it snow in Samui....except I'll stick to Buddhist chanting and the burning of a sacrificial stuffed toy snow leopard I received for sending £3 a week by SMS to a commercial on some obscure TV channel.

What's up, my friend? It has been a while. I'll give that app a try; free is for me. I had a great weather app on my phone but once I tried loading a free Google Earth app things on my phone got messed up. I'm not the best when it comes to phones, desktops, cameras, or any of this technology stuff. The worst of it all was that my Fanduel account wouldn't work at all. I'm not a big gambler, but I do like making $5 or 10-dollar bets. Always take a long shot. 10 leg parlays seldom hit, but when they do they pay big, between $300 and $600. My last bet before everything went bonkers was a winner, 324 bucks. For two days, an hour here an hour there, I tried to get back into my account.

I finally gave up. Last week we visited our kids and I thought I'd ask my 13-year-old grandson to see if he could get it straightened out. I told him if he got me back online with Fanduel I'd give him 50 bucks. Five minutes later I handed him over a 50-dollar bill. He was thrilled with the cash and I was happy as a pig in shit to have my account back online. Go figure, a 13-year-old knew a hell of a lot more than his 72-year-old grandfather.

I'll never get a handle on all of this computer bullshit.

I hope that I'll have better luck with this weather app.

Oh ! That's an interesting toy/app.

It got too cold here for w week or two and I was thinking uh oh... early winter. Yesterday and today though 78 degree high in the day again. waffle waffle....

I think your app has been messing with my weather in NY. I've been waking up to frost, eating lunch in shorts, and putting long johns back on before sunset. At first, I blamed the government, as any red-blooded American would, but now I suspect it has something to do with your new thermostat.

I've got my eye on you, funny man.
