Antic was one of the most popular Atari 8-bit magazines. While primarily covering the Atari 8-bit, it also covered the 16-bit Atari ST once it came along. The January 1985 issue includes:

- Introducing Type II - A new proofreading program for type-in programs.
- Widetext - A type-in program to create bold characters in graphics mode 0.
- Touch Tablet Cursor - Touch tablets like the KoalaPad and Atari Touch Tablet were devices primarily used in combination with art programs to draw. This type-in program lets you use it as a pointing device (much like a modern laptop touchpad. It is designed to incorporate into your own BASIC programs.
- Diskio - This type-in program is an enhancement for DOS 2.0S that provides access to most DOS functions directly from BASIC or Atari Assembler Editor as well as providing shortcuts for disk operations and an alphabetical disk directory.
- Parallel Bus Revealed - The first in a four part series on using the Atari 600XL and 800XL Parallel Bus Interface (PBI) which is capable of transfering data at 100,000 bytes per second.
- Escape From DOS 3 - A guide to converting your files from DOS 3.0 back to DOS 2.0S.
