Luego de haber terminado la primera prueba, las luces de ese lugar se fueron encendiendo poco a poco, aunque el escenario, ya no era el mismo, puesto que las plataformas comenzaron a descender y los diferentes caminos se cerraron frente a los participantes. Charlie miró su emblema que tomó y se preguntó —¿Qué hago con esto?— Lucas no sabía nada y estaba frente a Sofía, pero ella estaba sobre otra plataforma que los separaba unos pocos metros. Los tres se miraron y en ese momento en una de las pantallas apreció SEGUNDO DESAFÍO: ELECCIÓN.
Los treinta participantes seguían allí y una vez más la voz explicó —Cada participante deberá tomar una decisión— segundos después frente a ellos salieron tres caminos, la cual cada uno conducía a una prueba diferente, en el primero había un símbolo de una espada, en el segundo, una estrella y en el tercero, un corazón. Charlie no parecía entender y de inmediato preguntó que hará con ese emblema que tomó, donde la voz respondió —cada emblema puede ser utilizado para modificar las condiciones de una prueba— Lucas añadió —entonces podré ayudar a alguien— aun así todo era un juego para los tres niños.
After finishing the first challenge, the lights in that area gradually came on, though the scene was no longer the same, as the platforms began to descend and the various paths closed off in front of the participants. Charlie looked at the emblem he’d taken and wondered, “What do I do with this?” Lucas had no idea what was going on and was standing in front of Sofía, but she was on another platform that separated them by a few meters. The three looked at each other, and at that moment, one of the screens displayed: SECOND CHALLENGE: CHOICE.
The thirty participants were still there, and once again the voice explained, “Each participant must make a decision.” Seconds later, three paths appeared before them, each leading to a different challenge: the first had a sword symbol, the second a star, and the third a heart. Charlie didn’t seem to understand and immediately asked what he was supposed to do with the emblem he’d taken, to which the voice replied, “Each emblem can be used to modify the conditions of a challenge.” Lucas added, “Then I’ll be able to help someone.” Even so, it was all just a game for the three children.
El desafío seguía y ahora los tres caminos emitieron luces, además cada camino ofrece una ventaja diferente, pero solamente descubrirán cuál al entrar. Charlie miró a Lucas y luego a Sofía y les dijo —No sabemos qué hay detrás, por eso hay que elegir rápido— en ese momento apareció un contador con 30 segundos para que así los treinta participantes comenzaran a escoger. En ese momento comprendieron que la prueba no consistía simplemente en elegir un camino, consistía en decidir por quién utilizar aquello que había conseguido.
Los tres niños no sabían por donde irse, si embargo el tiempo se terminó y los tres niños quedaron separados y la voz anunció —SEGUNDO DESAFÍO INICIADO— La puerta de Charlie comenzó a abrirse, pero antes de entrar, una pequeña pantalla apareció frente a él con la frase —PUEDES UTILIZAR TU EMBLEMA PARA SALVAR A UNO DE TUS COMPAÑEROS— Charlie se quedó inmóvil y apareció el nombre de Lucas y Sofía, donde en ese momento Charlie comprendió entonces que el verdadero desafío todavía no había comenzado y tenía que tomar una elección.
The challenge continued, and now all three paths were glowing. Each path offered a different advantage, but they would only discover which one once they entered. Charlie looked at Lucas and then at Sofía and said, “We don’t know what’s ahead, so we have to choose quickly.” At that moment, a timer appeared, counting down 30 seconds so that the thirty participants could begin to choose. At that moment, they realized that the challenge wasn’t simply about choosing a path; it was about deciding who would benefit from what they had earned.
The three children didn’t know which way to go, but time ran out, and the three of them were separated. A voice announced, “SECOND CHALLENGE BEGUN.” — Charlie’s door began to open, but before he could enter, a small screen appeared in front of him with the message —YOU CAN USE YOUR EMBLEM TO SAVE ONE OF YOUR TEAMMATES— Charlie froze, and the names Lucas and Sofía appeared. At that moment, Charlie realized that the real challenge hadn’t even begun yet and that he had to make a choice.
