This gown is a fitted, long-sleeve princess-line dress with an asymmetric front neckline, overlapping collar/lapel, side buttons, shaped waist. Let's proceed with the processing of cutting and sewing
MEASUREMENTS Shoulder 16, bust 38, bust-point height 10.5, nipple-to-nipple 7, under-bust 13.5, waist length 16, waist 32, empire line 24, hip 41, sleeve length 22, sleeve rounds 14/12/8, and full length 43 inches.
BODY DRAFT Use a basic fitted bodice block. Divide the bust, waist, and hip measurements by four because you are drafting one quarter of the body. On the back, mark the shoulder using half of the 16-inch shoulder measurement, then shape the armhole smoothly. For the back neckline, mark 3 inches width and 1 inch depth. Extend the center-back line to the 43-inch finished length. Mark the waist at 16 inches and hip at 24 inches, then connect the side seam through the waist and hip measurements.
For the front, use the same basic measurements. Mark the bust point 10.5 inches down from the shoulder and mark 3.5 inches from center front because the nipple-to-nipple measurement is 7 inches. Establish the princess line by drawing from the armhole area through the bust point and continuing toward the hem. Transfer the bust dart into this princess seam. Smooth the line over the bust so it does not form a sharp point.
Mark the empire line at 24 inches according to your measurement. fitted lower body, continue the princess seams from the bodice down through the skirt. At the hip, use 41 inches divided by four, then shape gently into the hem. Keep the hem around the knee/mid-calf position shown, and use the 43-inch full length.
ASYMMETRIC NECKLINE AND FRONT OVERLAP For the front neckline, mark a 3-inch neckline width. On the side that forms the deeper asymmetric section, mark the 5-inch depth. Draw the neckline diagonally and smoothly toward the opposite shoulder. The overlapping front panel drafted separately from the main front. Extend its outer edge across the chest and angle it toward the opposite shoulder. Add a little extra width where the panel crosses the bust so it can overlap comfortably.
COLLAR Trace the finished asymmetric neckline after completing the front overlap. Draft the collar as a separate piece: measure the neckline curve, add seam allowance, and create the pointed/overlapping collar shape visible in the photograph. Cut two collar pieces, sew right sides together, turn, press, and attach neatly securely.
SLEEVES Draft a fitted two-piece or one-piece sleeve using the armhole measurement from your bodice. Use 22 inches for sleeve length. At the upper arm, use 14 inches round; shape to 12 inches at the elbow and 8 inches at the wrist. Add small ease at the sleeve cap so it fits the armhole smoothly.
CUTTING AND SEWING Cut front princess sections, back sections, sleeves, collar, and front overlap. I didn't add seam allowance because of the fabric I'm working with is a little bit stretching and 1 inch hem allowance.
**Sew princess seams first, matching the bust point carefully. Press seams toward the desired side.
Then insert dart for the skirt panel of the font.
And also for the back after that attached the upper body to the down part for the front before Join the front and back at the shoulders and side seams.
Sew the sleeves, then attach them to the armholes. Finish the asymmetric neckline with the collar and overlap.
Install the center-back zipper, finish the hem, and add the front buttons and button loops/holes. Finally, press the entire gown carefully and check the fit on the mannequin before final finishing.**
The outcome really at amaze me, front and back view
