STREET ART #279 – A mural depicting everyday life in Hals, Denmark

Hals is a town I visited in September of this year. It is a small, so getting around is quick. What comes as a surprise is all the street art to be found here. This wall is located right by the small bus station. It features motifs from the city, but I haven't manage to find out who the artist is.

Hals is a small fishing town with just over 2,000 inhabitants. It is situated at the very edge of the east coast, where the Limfjord flows into the sea. The town is primarily characterized by its fishing-related activities, but it also attracts a significant number of tourists during the summer months.

Several of the buildings seen in the painting actually exist down by the harbor. Life at the harbor is also captured in the image—including both those who make a living from fishing and those who fish as a hobby. It is a lovely painting that beautifully illustrates a glimpse of Hals and life in this small town.
