Hello DIYHub Community!
Our DIY Around the World challenge has officially come to an end, and what a journey it has been! ππ οΈ
Over the past two months, we invited you to explore culture, heritage, traditions, craftsmanship, and creativity through DIY. We wanted to see how different parts of the world could be represented through handmade projects, and you gave us plenty to discover.

π Thank You to Everyone Who Participated
A contest is only as good as the people who take part in it, and we want to sincerely thank everyone who shared a project with us.
We received a total of 6 entries from our amazing community members.
All participants:
@divergente1 @mdakash62 @bimpcy @zali.bee
Whether you won a prize or simply shared something you made with your own hands, your contribution helped make this challenge special.
Your creativity, effort, and willingness to share your process are what make DIYHub a community worth building. π
Thank you for creating, sharing, encouraging others, and continuing to make this community what it is.
π± A New Chapter for DIYHub
We also wanted to share a small update about our contests.
For the time being, DIYHub will be pausing our regular contests.
We've really enjoyed running these challenges and seeing the creativity they bring out in the community. But we feel this is a good moment to take a step back, evaluate the format, and explore other ways of supporting and highlighting the creators in our community.
This doesn't mean we're stepping away from DIYHub or from the creators who make this community special. Quite the opposite.
We want to try something a little different.
π Introducing: DIYHub Creator Spotlight

While contests take a break, we'd like to introduce a new initiative: DIYHub Creator Spotlight.
Instead of focusing only on competitions, we want to regularly take a moment to get to know the people behind the projects.
Through the Creator Spotlight initiative, we plan to highlight a couple of DIYHub authors at a time, showcasing their creativity, projects, personality, and contribution to our community.
We want to use this opportunity to introduce community members to creators they may not have discovered yet, while also giving established authors another way to have their work noticed.
π What Will the Creator Spotlight Look Like?
Each spotlight will feature three selected authors and may include:
- The author's introduction and background
- A selection of their favourite or most interesting DIY projects
- Links to some of their previous posts
- What inspires their creativity
- Their favourite materials, techniques, or crafts
- A short message from the author
- Other interesting details about their creative journey
Our goal is simple: discover interesting creators, share their work with more people, and help strengthen the connections within the DIYHub community. π€
π Why We're Trying Something New
We believe DIYHub should be more than just a place to compete.
It should be a place where people can learn from each other, discover new creators, share ideas, experiment with different techniques, and celebrate the joy of making things.
Contests will always be something we can revisit in the future. For now, though, we want to try a format that lets us focus more directly on the people and projects that make this community unique.
As always, we're open to your feedback!
If you have suggestions for the Creator Spotlight, future contests, community activities, or anything else you'd like to see from DIYHub, let us know in the comments.
π A Big Thank You
To everyone who has participated in our contests, posted tutorials, shared creative processes, commented on other people's work, supported new authors, or simply stopped by to see what others are making: thank you.
Communities are built by their members, and every contribution matters.
We look forward to continuing this journey with you, one project and one creator at a time. π οΈπ
π Keep Creating. Keep Sharing. Keep Inspiring. π
See you in the next DIYHub Creator Spotlight!
