Nature Rules and Other Thoughts

The gentlest of breezes carry the seeds of the dandelion across the lawn, far and away from the arms of his mother. It is with childish delight that I watch, holding closely a ritual, the magical wish that is embedded in my soul. Eyes closed tight, I slip a little wish in, sending it on its way - one of the many pleasures of my youth.

*

Do you know the secret handshake of this ritual?*

Carried by the wind. Oh, that is the way I would like to be. What an extraordinary flight that would be! I watch as it comes apart, dispersing in all directions... a free fall of sorts. Fly away! Fly away! Fly away, all!

The sun’s rays touch down and color me grateful. There is comfort in sharing as all lines of thought lead to the warmth of this feeling. My world has been colored with love, and so, I pass this sentiment on to you, my friend – to pass it on to another and another, until one day, we will have decorated the world.

Happy are those that rain sunshine down upon another — at the corner of sunshine and happiness.

LAVENDER 3.JPG

The flight of the bumblebee! How I love the intensity of its movement, flitting from flower to flower, zigging and zagging, hunting and gathering the pollen and nectar, both found in the lavender plants.

"Flight of the Bumblebee" runs at a frantic pace, with uninterrupted runs of chromatic notes. The range of notes and pitch on display doesn’t pose much of a challenge for musicians, although moving them quickly enough to match the pace can prove to be a daunting task. A great deal of skill is required to perform this complex bit, which has been more evident in various renditions throughout popular culture.

It also ended up being a popular piece for guitarists, who use it to display their technical prowess. The original version was meant to utilize violins, although various guitar versions have surfaced throughout the years. However, there isn’t any master version singlehandedly for guitar. Its popularity is down to the fact that few players can resist the challenge to delve into fast-paced music. The composer wanted to create a musical picture portraying of a bee buzzing around at break-neck speed, which he successfully achieved. Most renditions are performed at “lightning-fast speeds,” playing right into the hands of Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov. source

We have it so good. We enjoy it so much. We express it so little. It can make your heart shine like the stars in the universe. The most beautiful feeling in the world. Tulips, long gone, but never forgotten. Their beauty is legendary. Flowers. Always. To color my world. Always a flower. #alwaysaflower❤️

All I have are my words, armed in my mind, written in pen, stand by stand. Oh, yes. Still by hand. It has a different feel. Altered not by keys, backspace, and delete, I write, erase, tear it to pieces and start all over again. And again.

**

It’s my way. I walk out to the deep end of the page and dive right in.

Always a flower to colour all of our worlds, vicariously through YOU, lovely lady. That is exactly how it works, ya know 😉

We have the most synchronicitous timing between us. Sometimes, I am convinced we exist on entirely separate planes. Perhaps that could explain the dreamy, ethereal quality I experience when reading your words in combination with some of the most joyful, natural beauty shots.

Of course, I stopped by to say I hope you are happy, well and your life is messy with joy.

Sadly I find we are slightly out of step once again haha. Words are not perishable by design and these will be here when you return to ensure you remember that you are remembered, thought of and matter to those who miss you and who realise just how important your little spot in the universe is, nobody else could fill it in quite the same way.

Hmm, it appears I rambled a little longer than I expected to...

    Quelle surprise

See ya soon my friend. Be happy, be well, be the Swigle (no one else can do it like you!!!) 😎🌻

I love the swirly bokeh on the cat pic. Almost looks like a Helios lens. Well done.

Don't mind me...I'm just here chatting to that beautiful kitty! And the music - love it. It certainly captures the bumble bee masterfully!

What a beautiful and inspiring piece! I love the way you capture the magic of nature and the simple joys of life. Your writing is so lyrical and evocative, and I can really feel the love and appreciation you have for the world around you.

I especially enjoyed your description of the dandelion seeds being carried away by the wind. It's such a simple image, but it's full of wonder and possibility. I love the way you compare it to a free fall, and I can't help but think about all the places those seeds might end up.

Your words also made me think about the importance of spreading love and happiness. You write so beautifully about how we can all make the world a better place by simply being kind and compassionate to one another. It's a message that we all need to hear, and I'm so glad you shared it with us.

Beautiful shots! That looks like one quite content cat there!

  • @acesontop(81)· 1131d

Nice shots. Especially the lavender field one.

  • @becca-mac(74)· 1132d

Oh dswigle, that first image and the bee and lavender image are so nice. I'm just getting used to using my guy's camera when I steal it if he's not looking and now I want to try photographing a bee. I'll probably have one partly blurry image to show and 300 terrible ones. Thank you for sharing these images.

If only we could colour / decorate the world with love. Let’s spread it far… for all 🩷

Never had a cat as a pet or heard of it, that it should have 3 names. That’s interesting to hear. I can imagine like with a dog, you can call it with other names and it still listens.

Have a wonderful evening Denise and soon mid week 😊👋🏻🥰🤗 enjoy it all. Much love! !LUV !HUG

Who didn't help the dandelion seeds fly? I used to make wishes too, in childhood, but I don't think they came true. I'm thinking of trying again.
